Minimum time for smell loss

I've lost my sense of smell, and I'm feeling very sad about it. I can't really taste anything :-(

Can anyone give me hopeful stories of their sense of smell returning after a (very) short amount of time?

Sense of smell took 2 weeks to fully return but had started to regain some by 1 week. At the start I couldn't smell anything not even strong perfume or dirty nappies.

It's such a strange thing! I've been enjoying the spices in my cupboard and they all smell like...air! I ate some wasabi earlier. It was all pain and no flavour Confused.

Beer tastes like watery ear wax.

I bought a load of bubbles baths and bath salts as isolation entertainment, and I can't really enjoy them.
