Anyone had a PCR result arrive during the day?

We are waiting on a PCR result, it's been almost 48h but we really really needed it back today.
All the results we've ever had have come back overnight, latest by 7.30am, so I sort of assumed the results senders worked night shifts.
Do they actually send out results during the day from drive through tests or should I just give up hope? Has anyone ever had a result during the day?
I've called 119, test is properly registered but nothing they can do to chase until 72hrs.

We’ve had them at 11:30am, 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm

@needtogetfit21
If you haven't had your results I saw this and thought it might affect them. Don't think mine would have gone that far north though.

4pm today, after a test yesterday morning..

Tinysnickers · 28/10/2021 21:26

@needtogetfit21 ah, sorry it wasn't good news for all of you.
We're now 60 hours and counting. Getting a bit cross now.

I’ve had test results at 3am, half 7, 10am through to half ten at night. No relation from test time to result’s time.

lifeohhifeee · 28/10/2021 23:39

Hope you get ur results soon!

Everly18 · 28/10/2021 23:44

We have had them anytime between 7.30am and 10 40pm

DriftingPlateTectonic · 29/10/2021 00:01

Got ours this evening. Me negative. DC positive.

Tinysnickers · 29/10/2021 09:22

Oh no. They told me yesterday that at the 72 hours point they refer the case to another team who then investigate
Tinysnickers · 29/10/2021 11:34

I just called again. No results linked to our barcode. They are investigating but said that if it's not been processed by now there's a fair chance its lost and we'll never get them. But it's too late to do another now, because they count 5 days from positive pcr so if DD is positive she'd end up missing school next week for nothing. Her 10 days is up on Sunday anyway.
I'm so sick of it. The last 8 PCRs our family have done results now tally:
4 x false negatives from the dodgy lab
1 x negative from the dodgy lab but we'll never know if it was true or not
1 x void
1x lost
1 x positive

That's a pretty shit rate tbh. And given that the 2 people with the false negatives were identified on LF I'm really tempted to give up on the PCRs now. I've followed the rules all along but I've now got to a point of being so utterly pissed off with the testing shambles.

That is pretty poor! We had a similar issue where the test was lost apparently but we then had a negative result a couple of hours later 😬

I’ve completely lost faith

Goodness OP I can see where you are coming from
