Third primary dose recorded in GP system as booster

Who should I contact in order to fix this? I’d rather only contact one organisation and get it right first time, rather than contact the wrong organisation(s) first. GP did not administer the vaccine.

@RachC2021 Thanks, will give it a go tomorrow!

Cookerhood · 26/10/2021 16:09

We would certainly jab you at the walk in centre with the letter. It's what DH will do.

RachC2021 · 26/10/2021 21:57

The daily charts now include boosters & third primary doses. I hope that means they’re able to be recorded separately now.

I particularly noticed that they announced them as one number so I don't imagine so. It certainly hadn't changed on Saturday.

If you look at the explanation of changes page it details values for boosters and third doses individually as well as combined, implying the data is actually separated.

I'd love to know who separated that data and populated that field(s) over the weekend.

SpindelWhorl · 26/10/2021 23:30

@Soundofshuna

I’m a hospital consultant. We were asked to provide a list of our eligible patients to our hospital hub. I did that day( c 3000 patients) They replied and said they were expecting about 20 so couldn’t do them and to wait for the National system to add the filter. I think the 500,000 is a massive underestimate as our middle sized DGH department alone had several thousand.
Hello! Lovely to meet you, as it were.

How did you supply that list so quickly, do you mind me asking?

And why so many? I thought the parameters were quite tight, and fairly cumbersome to determine.

For example in my case, being on a soluble TNF receptor (which my GP surgery had never heard of, but which is the category heading on the JCVI list) at certain points in time prior to the first or second primary vaccinations.

Hope you have managed to get your jab today. I have finally got my letter, yay!!!

TheSpanishApartment · 08/11/2021 16:01

I finally went and got my jab today. Just adding it here for others who may be searching - I went to a walk in clinic and showed my letter and they did it for me there and then. In fact they took me in via a separate entrance to those queuing for the booster.

Am I right in assuming that we will be eligible for a booster 6 months from now as well?

Really glad that you’ve managed to have yours!

I don’t think they’ve confirmed a booster in six month’s time yet. I’ve made a note to start looking around for whether or not we’re due one in February. The first ones will be due from March for those who got them right away.

I am CEV (immunosuppressive) I had a third jab a few weeks ago but I have no idea if it was a booster or a third dose?

I had AZ for first 2 and Pfizer for third…

As you had Pfizer it can be corrected later on, if needed. Don’t worry! Check back around February/March to see if boosters are being recommended then. :)
OP posts:
Cookerhood · 08/11/2021 16:23

If you are CEV it was probably a third dose. How long since your second one?
It's a mess with not being able to record it on the system as a thrid primary - quite how people will be able to be called for their actual booster is beyond me. They updated the system very quickly to include boosters, so I can't understand why weeks down the line we can't record third primaries (unless it's changed in the last 10 days or so).

Nat6999 · 09/11/2021 04:13

I'm CEV, had AZ for dose 1 & 2, had the letter for dose 3, I'm housebound, will I get AZ for dose 3 & will I need a booster as well?

Cookerhood · 09/11/2021 07:49

You will get Pfizer or Moderna unless there's a clinical reason not to & I imagine a booster in 6 months although it hasn't really been announced I don't think.

RachC2021 · 19/11/2021 10:03

I’ve seen someone on FB claim that they’ve had their records amended from “booster” to “third primary dose”. Has anyone here had theirs changed yet?

Mine was changed at the vaccination centre this week - as soon as I said I was using biologics, she said she needed to change the entry.

It may be relevant that I attended a centre based at a large hospital.

RachC2021 · 19/11/2021 15:07

@NeverDropYourMooncup can you actually see that it says something other than “booster” in the NHS app/Covid pass? I was told mine was being recorded as a third dose but it hasn’t been. (Mine was also done at a hospital vaccination hub.)

OP posts:
RachC2021 · 29/11/2021 15:29

So now with a fourth dose being approved, anyone who got their third primary straight away will be eligible for their booster from later this week.

How long until the computer system gets sorted?

OP posts:
TheSpanishApartment · 02/12/2021 12:08

So I had my 3rd primary on 8th Nov and have now been invited for a booster. Does this mean they've sorted the system? And should I go for the booster now? I'm not sure whether this is an error or whether I am actually due for a booster. I don't want to go all the way there for no reason. Has anyone else been invited?

TheSpanishApartment · 02/12/2021 12:09

It still says Dose 3 [Booster] in my records

Azerothi · 02/12/2021 12:19

I had one of those 'secretary of state' letters saying I must have a third primary, so I went and had the third primary and was in a separate queue from those having boosters. It says booster on mine too. Although it says in a note at my GP third primary, it isn't an official code so won't be read by a computer.. This is stupid, but thanks for posting as I hadn't noticed.

The boosters are supposed to be three months (at least) after your lat primary dose, so you shouldn’t be eligible for a booster until February 8th, give or take a day or two. (I haven’t seen the number of days specified yet.)
