Did anyone feel sick?

God I feel so sick & my tummy feels like it’s churning. DS tested positive on Friday and the rest of us are waiting pcr results.

I have felt fine until this afternoon when I suddenly started feeling really nauseous. No cough or headache or sore throat. Little bit achey & trembly.

Anyone else felt like this & any suggestions to deal with the hideous nausea?!

@WaterAndRichTea yes but the pcr yesterday was negative so I don’t know what to think anymore. Have just been for another pcr, so sick of shoving those things up my nose!

Positive LFD 2 and a half weeks ago -still feeling sick -still got diarrhoea.

Now under GP. Hospitals are seeing 1/3 of people with Covid presenting with D&V

It’s so strange how differently it affects people isn’t it. No nausea or churning stomach for ds or dh just lots and lots of coughing!

@Littlemiss74 one of the symptoms track and trace ask about is nausea/vomiting. They know it's a symptom of Delta. I got a negative before a positive. DD1 got 2 negatives before her positive.

Littlemiss74 · 25/10/2021 20:12

Ah ok thanks @Lougle I didn’t know that.

I felt sick and couldn't eat anything for about 12 days. It was the worst symptoms for me. Hope you don't have it that bad.

This^ But I never was actually sick. I had a constant headache as well so it felt like the sickness migraines that I used to get as a kid. (But it lasted about 5 x as long!) Absolutely horrible and I hope you get over it quickly. Losing taste made it worse I think because you just don't feel like eating.

I was the only one who tested positive on the pcr then the rest of the family joined me with positive pcrs 2 days later. I had felt dodgy first, they felt fine for a couple of days.
I felt quite iffy with nausea to begin with, then a nasty cold and extreme tiredness. Then I had diarrhoea, but only for one day.
DS (12) was sick in his bed whilst sleeping (worryingly) and had a high temp for two days, he was also very lethargic, but then fine.
DH had nasty cold symptoms, tiredness and a constant cough which carried on for another couple of weeks.
DD (15) just felt a bit off colour.
Hope you feel much better soon

savagebaggagemaster · 25/10/2021 20:23

Forgot to say - DD and I both lost our sense of smell / taste for 4-5 days but DH and DS didn't have this issue at all.

DancingQueen85 · 25/10/2021 20:35

DC only symptom was an episode of vomiting. Lots of others in their school who tested positive have been the same

theresanooselooseaboutmyhoose · 26/10/2021 14:11

@Littlemiss74 did you get a recent PCR result following the lft? Curious about link with sickness/ nausea

Family here been bed bound, dizzy, nausea/ being sick (one so far) no appetite. First pcr neg on son. now testing second child.

If not covid it's a nasty bug. I'm sure I'm next....

Littlemiss74 · 26/10/2021 14:32

@theresanooselooseaboutmyhoose I’ve just received my 2nd pcr result & it’s negative again despite another lateral flow positive this morning! This is doing my head in now. Starting to wonder if I’m not doing the swab well enough for the pcr as I’m never sure I’m doing the throat quite right & I think I might have brushed my tongue slightly on the way out - wonder if this would completely ruin the result? I just want to get the same result whatever it is so that I know! Also don’t want to have to isolate for whole of half term if I haven’t got covid! My poor dd is the only one not ill & its not much fun for her this half term.

I think with symptoms, a couple of positive LFTs and Covid in the house, its safe to say you have Covid.

LemonWeb · 26/10/2021 14:40

I had nausea on day 3 but I always get that just before I faint. Main symptoms were respiratory ones.

Metabigot · 26/10/2021 14:41

I've been feeling sick on and off, currently on day 8.
It tends to be quite short lived but I've had it most days since about day 5 in when my symptoms really started to worsen

Littlemiss74 · 26/10/2021 14:46

@CrumbsThatsQuick but why then 2 negative pcr’s? It doesn’t make sense
