Take bets on whether the PCR will be positive?

Bit of a snuffly nose but nothing else.

7am routine lateral flow positive.
Booked PCR straight away.
12pm lateral flow negative
4pm later flow negative

So one Faldo positive lateral flow? Or am I positive and following 2 tests are failing to pick it up?

Been in lots of contact due to my job.

If you're in the SW pcr will be negative because it's all messed up atm.
I'd do another lf in the morning before eating and drinking.

@Tigerwhocameforsupper I'm in the same boat. Constant runny nose through the night, couldn't smell this morning..lateral flow positive, also second one but weaker line. Had my PCR at 9 this morning so awaiting result.

I've also been in contact through work.

My sense of smell and taste are fine, no cough and no temperature. I just feel like I’ve got a head cold coming on but that’s all. Pre covid I would have taken 2 paracetamol and headed off to work.

Only had 1 lft come up positive so far but will do another tomorrow.

I have symptoms of a rotten cold and would say my sense of smell and taste is very reduced as I am so congested but, the other night, it vanished completely for a few hours. Got PCR the following day but negative
I lateral flow test twice a week for work, all negative so I'm putting this down to being a bad cold

Out of curiosity @Tigerwhocameforsupper was it a strong line or faint on your positive?

That looks similar to the test I took earlier. I was negative on a PCR over the weekend but felt awful last night. My LFT was +Ive this morning (like yours with a faintish line) but I am in the SW so dreading today's PCR being negative again. Everyone else in my house is +Ive and I can't believe I haven't got the same as them.

I reckon positive.

DD did a mix of positive and negative lateral flows before her positive pcr result.

My lateral flows were all negative before and after my pcr. My early symptoms were very mild - just a runny nose to start with.

Lateral flows are a waste of time, 3 in our household with full blown covid, all negative results, pcr much more reliable.

I think that's a reasonably strong line so likely positive but given what's going on at the moment with lft/pcrs who knows. Guess time will tell.

You can place a bet on me if you wish OP.... close contact with a friend end of last week. We had a coffee together and she tested positive the next day. No symptoms bar a headache today which is likely to be coincidental. Double jabbed. Went for PCR this morning after T&T started to bombard me.

Still waiting on mine! Going to do another lateral flow this morning to see what that says. Still feel like I have a head cold. DH is now coughing though so he will need to book a PCR too.

Waiting on my pcr too, no symptoms and a negative LFT but husband has confirmed covid so I feel it’s just a matter of time..

Tigerwhocameforsupper - I'm sure you are, but keeping checking your for texts and emails. I had an email with my result eight hours before I got the text!

Another positive (faint) lateral flow this morning so I’m fully expecting the PCR to be positive. I feel a bit grotty, my chest feels tight but not really got a cough.

Hope you're OK, OP! I'm waiting on mine this morning too. Negative LFTs but had PCR yesterday morning 10am as a member of my household tested positive at the weekend. Just a matter of time before I catch it (you'd think!) but I'm in the South so who knows.... I don't have a lot of faith in these tests! X

Also a couple of months ago I had ALL the symptoms but both LFTs and PCRs negative. I put it down to a bad cold but now that COVID-19 is in the house it can only be a matter of time. Keep us posted OP x

I haven’t had a cough at all with covid @Tigerwhocameforsupper - it’s all been a head cold kinda thing but on the nasty end, I’ve felt really bad. I started feeling like I had a cold & a bit achy. Next day, worse. It took 3 days to lose my smell & it gradually weakened to nothing at all as the day went along. I haven’t fully lost my taste but it’s very weak. I’m on day 7 now.

PCR back and is positive! Feel rough but no worse than a bad cold at the minute. Hoping it stays that way.

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly but pleased it's not too bad.

Mine came back as negative at 4am (took test at 11.30am the previous day) which I expected really.
