Change in heartbeat after second Pfizer jab

Had my second jab about 5 weeks ago.

I am usually a regular gym goer and yogi. Throughout the summer I haven’t been working out much, a session here and there rather than 4-5 times per week.

On the rare occasions that I’ve done some exercise, I have had a significantly harder heartbeat. I can feel it, I don’t know whether it’s beating faster than normal but it’s deffo pumping harder as I can feel it when I’d never noticed it previously.

Last night was the third time I have noticed it (I’ve probably only worked out 4-5 times). Just wondered if anyone else has had this and if they have been seen about it and what’s happening now etc.

Thanks

@ATieLikeRichardGere how are you? Hope you got some answers?

I’m really getting worried about my second dose-

No change and no answers yet. My ecg was normal, but that’s exactly what I’d have expected as the irregularity mostly only happens with exercise or at night and wouldn’t have been captured in the 4 minute test. It’s frustrating. Will need the 24 hour one, but have to do that basic one first.

Sorry you’re feeling worried. That’s very understandable. Have you talked through the choice with a doctor?

Is everyone okay a year on?

I have myocarditis after first MRNA. Long-term it is showing on MRI, though after the first few weeks blood tests and ECGs are 'normal'.

Journal article showing longer term issues:

"Persistent Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings in a Cohort of Adolescents with Post-Coronavirus Disease 2019 mRNA Vaccine Myopericarditis". "We describe the evolution of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging findings in 16 patients, aged 12-17 years, with myopericarditis after the second dose of the Pfizer mRNA coronavirus disease 2019 vaccine. Although all patients showed rapid clinical improvement, many had persistent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging findings at 3- to 8-month follow-up. (J Pediatr 2022;245:233-7)"
