Has anyone had a faint line on lateral flow

And had a PCR that's come back Negative?
I did my lateral flow this morning and I don't know if I'm being paranoid but if I squint and look closely I 'think' I may be able to see a second very faint line 😕
I've booked a PCR for this morning anyway but I was just wondering if it's inevitable that the PCR will come back positive or could it be negative?
I understand that I won't know until the PCR results for sure but I just wondered if anyone had had a faint line that turned out to be negative on their PCR?

Did you check it within the time ? I had a neg lateral flow but when I threw it away an hour later there was a very faint line. In all the instructions it says not to take this as positive - maybe they dry with a faint line sometimes?

I also have no symptoms and feel fine other than doing the lateral flow and looking very closely I wouldn't have even thought any different 🤨 Had my PCR done this morning and they said hopefully results will be back by the morning! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 it's negative

2 weeks ago DS had a very faint positive LFT. I couldn’t read it at 30 mins and it could have changed after the time limit but we did PCR to check anyway and it came back negative.

This morning DS had another faint LFT and we are now waiting for PCR results again. This line came up well within 20 mins and is faint pink rather than faint grey like last time. I don’t know what to expect this time!

He has had 3 negative tests between the 2 positive ones over 2 weeks.

Yes I have! Faint shadow on lateral flow and negative pcrs. Go with the pcr.

Ds had symptoms so did an lft which was very faint. He repeated it the following day, it was bright pink solid line. Didn’t bother with a pcr since symptoms were definitely Covid.
DS has had both vaccinations but symptoms stared a week after the second one.

My Dsis had a very faint pink line on a lateral flow test today- she has gone for a PCR. No symptoms. Will update when result comes back.

Not helpful, but my positive LFT came up positive faster than a teenage pregnancy test 🤣🤣

Mine was ridiculously faint but the next morning quite obvious . PCR positive in the end.

The reason for having the PCR test is because the LFT isn't 100% accurate. I assume you know that, loads of people have had false positive LFTs but I don't know if there's any correlation with how obvious the line is. I suspect not.

This was mine with a negative PCR 🤷🏻‍♀️ so there is hope!

Do loads of people have false positives though? I know false negatives are common, but I thought less than 1 in 1,000 people had a false positive? Mine was positive and then a positive PCR confirmed.

Watching with interest as in same situation, faint positive LFT this afternoon so swiftly booked a PCR. Just returned from Cornwall last night and rates are very high there (hence testing today before seeing extended family) so feel I could be getting a positive but keeping fingers crossed it's not.
