Has anyone had a faint line on lateral flow

And had a PCR that's come back Negative?
I did my lateral flow this morning and I don't know if I'm being paranoid but if I squint and look closely I 'think' I may be able to see a second very faint line 😕
I've booked a PCR for this morning anyway but I was just wondering if it's inevitable that the PCR will come back positive or could it be negative?
I understand that I won't know until the PCR results for sure but I just wondered if anyone had had a faint line that turned out to be negative on their PCR?
Thank you 😊

Can anyone see a line on this, I though there was one after about 20 minutes but then it disappeared. I think these tests are gaslighting me Hmm. One pic is with the contrast altered

juniper1234 It's very faint, but I can see it.

Thank you. They've gotten lighter since the first (faint) positive test but with the negative pcrs I don't know what to think anymore. I've felt utterly shit that much I do know!

There's no doubt about that one is there!

I’ve heard you can get false positives with certain juices like orange juice etc. They say not to do for thirty minutes after eating so I wonder if faint lines and negative pcr could be some kind of food contamination?

I wondered that after my first one but the next two I did as soon as I woke up so no contamination there 🤷‍♀️ although I have read on other threads on here aboutrepeated positive lfts so maybe it's just a thing with some people.

Remember that a negative means there was no covid in that sample. Doesn’t mean you don’t have it. It’s pretty unlikely, but possible.

Keepgoing88 · 01/09/2021 21:54

I never had more than a faint line on a couple of lfts rest were all negative and I tested loads! I had a positive pcr

juniper1234 · 01/09/2021 22:05

Complete drip feed but if I hadn't been around a number of covid positive people the week prior to the first test (due to work), and if I hadn't become unwell, I don't think this would be bothering me so much!

This happened to me… it’s so faint but I can detect something there. But you have to log within 24 hrs.
