My period is late. I feel very depressed and im crying a lot. I had the Moderna (first jab) four weeks ago. Im not pregnant. I havent had sex. Im 48 but still have periods usually every three weeks. Last one was five weeks ago. I dont mind it being late. Its feeling very low and crying all the time i cant stand.

To OP, maybe it's the jab. Not a bad thing, you want your body to do something.

You might just have an anovulatory cycle.

I would wait another cycle, and if still not right, chat to the GP.

Period turned up today. Darker than usual and heavy. Still very weepy depressed and anxious. Was pacing the bedroom and shaking slightly in the early hours of this morning. Thinking about past events in my personal life. Memories coming over me like a tidal wave. Really overwhelming.

Def signs of peri if you are reliving past events. Until I started HRT I wanted to kill anyone who had ever wronged me in the last 20 years. I dwelt on incidents that happened over a decade ago and relived the upset.

My periods went all over the place in my late 40's. I would have one really heavy then the next very light, not at regular intervals either. Also very anxious, angry and weepy. You don't need blood tests to go on hrt, I didn't have any.
