Pfizer double jabees, which one had most side effects?

Hodan85 · 06/08/2021 07:50

I have my second Pfizer jab shortly and we're on holiday the next day, so just wondering what people's experience of side effects after their second jab, compared to first were? I realise it varies between people, but thought I'd do a little straw poll!

I had no/very little side effects after first jab.

TIA

Migraine and tired from the first, nothing from the second. I expected worse so was pleasantly surprised.

FizzyPink · 06/08/2021 16:22

I had absolutely nothing with either of them except a bit of a sore arm

GuckGuckDoose · 06/08/2021 16:24

Sore arm after first, REALLY sore arm after second to point of not being able to lift above my head for 24 hours, but absolutely eff all apart from that!

Badabingbadabum · 06/08/2021 16:27

First was worse. Headache, irritable, generally crappy and off. Arm really hurt too! Second one felt fine, bit achey the day after and only a slightly tender arm.

Claricestarling1 · 06/08/2021 16:31

First - sore arm, headaches, tired for a week
Second - sore arm, headaches and woke up drenched in sweat the night of getting the jab. Maybe more intense symptoms for the second but they didn’t last as long as the first 😊

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 06/08/2021 16:52

First- nothing
Second-slightly achey armpit

Worth it Smile

EdgeOfACoin · 06/08/2021 19:14

@CloseYourEyesAndSee

A sore arm after the first, a slightly less sore arm after the second.
Same here.
ferretface · 06/08/2021 19:21

Really sore arm after the first one but no other side effects. Second one I had flu like symptoms the day after (had to go to bed early) and was fatigued for a further 3 or so days (I was fine for normal life but I noticed the fatigue when I went running).

unidentifed · 06/08/2021 19:23

I slept for 36 hours after my first jab. I was just tired after my second jab but was able to stay awake (I stayed in bed mostly though) for 24 hours.

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 06/08/2021 19:24

Second was worse for me but only 24-36hrs.
I feel rotten for a day or two after the flu jag every year so expected to feel rubbish.

I’m very jealous of those who’ve been fine Grin

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 06/08/2021 19:28

First - very sore arm
Second - bit of a sore arm. muscle and joint aches the next day. Headache the day after that.

Watercoloursky · 06/08/2021 19:36

First jab - nothing but a tender arm for 24 hours (not bad though, just couldn't lie on it)

Second jab - 12hrs afterwards I started getting weird aches and pains (weird as in not typical fluey neck/shoulder/back pain, but things like the soles of my feet and under my fingernails and the individual bones of my hands hurt). I woke up in the night with chills, and needed Paracetamol to cope with aches for maybe half the next day, but after that I was right as rain again.

Definitely worth it!

donkir · 06/08/2021 19:37

Other than a sore arm I felt fine with both

Angrymum22 · 06/08/2021 19:49

Nothing after either, well maybe very very slightly shivery for half an hour the day after. I wouldn’t have even noticed it but the nurse doing the vaccination really laid it on thick that I was much more likely to get side effects after the second one. So I spent 48hrs waiting for it to hit me.

PinkBuffalo · 06/08/2021 19:52

I had a bit more of a sore arm for about 24hrs on my second one, but other than that no side affects for either of them at all 🙂

LoveFall · 06/08/2021 19:57

Quite sore arm with the first, slightly sore with second.

Natsku · 06/08/2021 19:58

First jab - sore arm for about three days, fatigue and feeling generally shit for a couple of days
Second jab - sore arm for three days again, fatigue and feeling shit for two days but not as bad as first jab, and on the second day really really bad abdominal pain but I can't be certain that was connected as my period came two days later (but I haven't had period pain in years so I didn't think it was, plus it felt more like burning pain than cramping pain).

NautaOcts · 06/08/2021 19:59

2nd
Affected me mainly in the evenings for a few days after. Just very tired and achey
First one it was just the sore arm and a headache for one day after

bluestarthread · 06/08/2021 19:59

Sore arm and maybe a bit tired but nothing unusual and definitely didn’t stop me working, so a holiday should be fine.

CimCardashian · 06/08/2021 20:00

Zero side effects apart from sore arm with 2nd jab

TheFeistyFeminist · 06/08/2021 20:00

Fine after the first. Fine for a day after the second one then spent a day in bed feeling like I'd been hit by a house. Fine again after that.

PlantDoctor · 06/08/2021 20:18

Felt fine after first and poorly after 2nd. High fever, aches, exhaustion, and of course a sore arm. Also brain fog and a bit of nausea. I would rearrange for when you aren't travelling if you can!

EverythingsComingUpRoses · 06/08/2021 20:24

No side effects with number 1

2nd one I felt fine but had lymph nodes pop up in my neck and armpit on the side where I had the job

Odd but didn't stop me doing anything

PlumpCushion · 06/08/2021 20:34

I had severe nausea on day 8 and 9 of first jab. I doubt it was a bug as I had an appetite. I’m wondering if that was a side effect but came on quite a few days later. If it had persisted I’d have had doubts about having my second.

Hairbrush123 · 06/08/2021 20:49

I’m very grateful as I only had a sore arm for both doses and no other side effects. I had Pfizer.
