How long are PCR tests taking at the moment?

Had a test this morning. Have some mild symptoms, feel rough, think unlikely as barely been out, plus 2X vaccinations and covid previously but thought I'd better check and isolate. How long have tests been taking recently?

I had one earlier this week that was back within 6 hours.
The testing site was absolutely empty.

Ours was back in 8 hours

Oh wow that's super fast! It's my birthday on sat so I'd love it to be back before then.

22 hrs from post box collection

12 hours last week.

That was at a drive through one done at 8am

15 hours

This is all sounding good so far..only on 10 hours and feeling impatient!

I gave them my email address and mobile number, the email came a while before the text.

I sent a postal test back on Tuesday, got the result at 22.40 last night. DH went to a walk in site yesterday at 11.30, result at 14.30 today

DH had pcr at 9 this morning, just came back positive tonight about 10.30

Good it was so fast, but not good he has tested positive, hope he feels better soon!

Negative. Phew :)

I took my DD at 11.30 and the results were back at 3.30am. This is London and the site was busy.

I had mine yesterday around 12 and still waiting. Son had his at the same time and received an email an hour ago. Positive. Not a massive suprise as husband tested positive a day before.

Tested DSs at 2 pm. Results back 3am!

Hope you'll all be OK blue. Both my DSs were positive too.

13 hours from a test at a walk in centre - 6pm last night, woken up by the text just after seven this morning.
Negative - I still fell a bit unwell, but varying things over the weekend that I don't need to cancel.

Until I saw what it was, I was a bit irritated that someone had texted at seven.

I had mine yesterday around 12 and still waiting. Son had his at the same time and received an email an hour ago. Positive. Not a massive suprise as husband tested positive a day before.

Hopefully you'll get yours soon. Think mine took about 21 hours in the end which feels pretty fast.

DS had test at 11.30 yesterday at a drive-thru, which was empty. Still waiting [impatiently]. Nursery make them have them for any high temp, hoping DS's is just teething temp.

Bumping this. Test 12pm yesterday (Friday), no results yet (4am Friday night/Sat morning).

Got the result just after posting the above. Test 12pm, result 5am, so 17 hours.

I was tested yesterday (Friday) morning at 9.30am and nothing yet.
Unfortunately I seem to have tested positive on lft this morning so now just waiting for the inevitable.

I sent off a home test for dd on Thursday afternoon and am still waiting.
