Is this positive lateral flow?

Hi,

I’ve just taken this lateral flow and this was the result, is this positive or inconclusive?
I did repeat the test and had a negative, I’ve also ordered a PCR.

Looks like my first positive. Any line at all means positive.

Yes this is a positive. My husband's looked like this and tested positive with a PCR a few hours later.

You could be right at the threshold for having a high enough viral load for a LFT to detect it. The sensitivity of LFTs isn’t great-they do miss a lot of positive people, especially if they’re not done by trained professionals. It’s also possible either test result could be a false one-positive of negative.
You really need the PCR result now.

Any line is too be treated as positive, no matter how faint.
Confirm with PCR.

A PCR result overrules the LFT.

Mine looked like this on Tuesday morning! PCR confirmed on Wednesday. Out of curiosity I took another LFT today and the line was as if I had drawn it on with a marker!

My uncle had 3 completely negative LFTs on 3 consecutive days. He was horribly ill (not with the “3 symptoms - he had cold symptoms + upset stomach) but on my urging did a PCR and it was positive- LFTs not really reliable at all.

He’s also not the only one I know - a friend of mine was the same- 2 or 3 negative LFTs with “atypical” symptoms and positive on PCR.

Again out of curiosity I’ve taken another LFT on a different brand

What is wrong with people, it’s negative, there is no other line.🙄

Second test looks positive to me.

I can’t see a line on them.
