Completely ridiculous ideas about Covid vaccine

Name change because this is so ridiculous it’s outing.

My ex and I broke up because of our differing views on Covid. He’s anti-vaccine and a whole host of other things.

We have missed each other and wanted to give things another try because we have a baby.

However, he thinks that if we have sex he will ‘catch spike proteins’ from my body fluids because I’ve had the covid vaccine (he hasn’t)

He started kissing me and then wiped his mouth because he thinks he can catch spike proteins from saliva.

I don’t think we’ll get back together needless to say.

Does anyone know where this ridiculous idea comes from?

Oh also, to the people wondering where the idea comes from that everyone who had the vaccine will die, Vernon Coleman has helped with that one I think. He used to be a doctor. My ex hangs on his every word.

You've had a lucky escape, keep some distance there now. I'd be concerned about what other conspiracy theories he'll buy into and how benign those well be when a baby is involved. Encourage him gently to get some mental health support.

I’ve tried encouraging him to get mental health support before and he just laughs in my face.

He’s back on his obsession of consulting psychics again now 🙄

You need to talk to your health visitor to get this stuff documented and start thinking about how to ensure your baby is kept safe. Hopefully not necessary, but if he deteriorates further then you may need to justify why you want supervised contact only.

It’s very upsetting because I feel like my daughters life would be better if we were together but maybe that’s misguided.
