Can I get booster at 7 weeks at a walk in centre?

Do they know when I had it and will they turn me away? Does it have to be 8 weeks?

It's not a booster. It's a second jab. The booster is for over 50s at some point later this year.

At the walk in I went to yesterday clear signage you would be turned away if not at min 8 weeks

In answer to your question, they will know as the date your had your first jab will be on the centralised system.

Oh I had no idea it was used as a term for the 3rd jab. Been pretty busy. So can I get the second jab at the walk in centre no questions asked at 7 weeks rather than 8?

At ours no you can't.

You have to take your card to show the date and it has to be 8 weeks. They do, do walk ins. But not less than 8 weeks.

Don't know. Why not log in to the nhs system and see if you can book something around 7 weeks and then if so, you'll probably be fine at the walk in. Various people I know have been between 3-9weeks wait between 1st and 2nd jab.

I doubt it. My friend was turned away from a walk in centre at 7 weeks and 5 days yesterday.

You don’t need the card. They can look you up on the system.

For what I've heard different places have different rules so best to ask the place you are actually going to go to. But be sure to use the correct terminology or you'll get the wrong answer.

I had my first Pfizer at the end of May, and second jab initially automatically booked in early August. I cancelled it to see if I could get one any earlier and there were some appointments on Sunday, so 8 weeks and 1 day after my first - could you see if there’s any you can book online?

You will only be shown appointments 8 weeks or later after your first.

Ah I know - I just meant if OP couldn’t get a walk-in but wants one bang on 8 weeks with a guaranteed time, she could try booking one. I hadn’t realised I could bring mine forward so much.

A couple of days ago the rules were made stricter for the second vaccination. Now the earliest you can have the second is at 7 weeks & 6 days.

Don't need a card. If you know your NHS number they can check if it's been >= 8 weeks. Get the NHS app that shows your jab dates, too.
