It makes me really sad - just scrolling down all the titles. We're all in such a state.

That's why I'm here too. I'm not criticizing anybody.

Of course it's a very unpredictable time. It's a scary time. But I'll have to make this political - I"m sorry - BJ and our shit government - they're not making this any easier. I place the blame firmly on their shoulders. Will they ever be held to account for the damage they've done to our country and it's people?

Sometimes I pick up helpful gossip on this board... I have discovered "the media appearance diet". Basically, every time I agree to go on radio / tv, I can't eat. I also don't sleep. I now understand why Kate Middleton is so skinny.

This problem I hope will disappear when covid ceases to be newsworthy. Then I can sensibly hide this board, too. my #Anxiety story.

I've never once felt anxious about covid itself. I'm on this board because I am anxious, and angry and frustrated by the scaremongering, the unnecessary worry and the manipulation that has gone on and posting here is my ineffectual way of being a voice against all of that. I should do more. I'll regret not doing more.

I prefer to refer to the Prime Minister as a serial killer in all but name. His inactions and actions have caused more deaths that Harold Shipman, the Wests, or indeed probably more than Nazi bombing of London in World War 2.

My lifelong opposition to the death penalty is the only reason why I do not want Mr Johnson to hang. A lifetime prison sentence would be justice, though I don't think that will happen.

The anxiety on here ramps up every time there's an easing of the restrictions, it builds up and up as people feed off each others anxiety until the day of easing, then it slowly diminishes (not all the way, but a lot) until about a week before the next announcement, building again to a crescendo as the new easing takes place.

I would say it's in a great part the government (and msm) fault, with the project fear. We've had how dangerous covid is rammed down our throats for 18months (despite the fact that for the vast majority of us it isn't actually that dangerous), all the adverts on TV, Internet, bill.boards telling us how anyone might be walking round with it, the signs everywhere telling us to wash our hands and keep our distance and of course the masks, how can I forget the masks.
Basically we've not been allowed for.one minute to push covid to the back of our mind in the same way we do other serious illnesses.

It's going to take time for the hysteria (and yes it has got to the point of hysteria) and anxiety to subside. For some it will be quicker than others, those who have had no choice but to go.out and work throughout lockdowns will most likely be less anxious than those that have stayed at home. We've all been more or less conditioned to think that everyone else.is a petri dish of covid, and if we get too close we might turn in to zombies (ok not that dramatic, but you know what I mean).

I'm willing to accept its going to take people time to start becoming more confident and not think the world is going to end. But as someone who doesn't really do emotions (and tbh doesn't like people very much and social distanced as norm pre-covid) I have to admit the behaviour of some on here does puzzle me (especially the ones that seem to be positively salivating at the idea that it's all.going to go to hell)

I'm anxious that my son will have to isolate for 10 days because cases in schools are going through the roof and it will ruin our holiday plans. I'm anxious that our holidays abroad won't go ahead because no one will want us as our numbers go through the roof.
