Fully vaccinated person mixing with infected people?

Does anyone know of any cases where a fully vaccinated individual, having mixed unwittingly with other people who were infected, later caught the virus? If so, it is commonplace or not really worth worrying about?

Out of the 109 people (over 50) who died from the Delta variant (latest Variant update) 50 of them had been double vaccinated.

Yes. VERY common unfortunately, the positive is they are statistically unlikely to be as ill as they might have been without a vaccine but it's not guaranteed. Why?

I’m sorry but that’s not what 5% efficacy means. For every 100 unvaxxed who get covid, 5 vaxxed will get covid (or at least these were the figures claimed in the Pfizer trial. It does not mean that for every 100 vaxxed people 5 might still catch covid.

And we know these figures don’t hold for the Delta variant because there have been 44 deaths out of 53,822 cases in unvaccinated people (0.08%) and 50 deaths out of 7,235 double jabbed people (0.7%). That almost 9 times higher than in the unvaccinated group. Without a full breakdown of ages and comorbidities we can’t make any solid inferences from these figures, however ONS data show that nearly all deaths (in either vaxxed or unvaxxed) had other health issues (heart disease, diabetes etc).

Yes I do, but they had no symptoms. Was only detected by swabbing due to an outbreak in their work.

They still have no symptoms!
