School not accepting LFT?

Dd was sent home on Monday with hayfever. She had 2 LFT and they were negative. Her brother is in the same school. On the Tuesday they said he wasn’t allowed to go until they both had proper tests. I only had one so sent dds off on Tuesday but still not heard anything. They both did LfT last night and still negative.

Dd is missing school desperately and doesn’t cope well without his routine. DD is fine just sneezing but better after some hayfever medication.

I hope they accept dds test results to allow ds back at school 😩

LFTs are red light tests not green light tests. They should never be used to access school when symptomatic. They are designed to check status when there are no symptoms to stop access to school. According to the CDC, they're not even useful for that.

PCR tests are our green light test.
