Call your gp, some are ahead on the roll out and can get you in (others can't, depends where you live) they are doing 18+ where my old house is

BlueDucky · 08/06/2021 18:50

There's no way I'd get past the receptionist if I said it was about getting a covid vaccination

Bluntness100 · 08/06/2021 19:40

This thread has cheered me right up 😃

Cravendale · 08/06/2021 19:42

You will only have to wait another week

Your not ‘basically’ 25 😂

XenoBitch · 08/06/2021 20:23

Yeah, 17 and 10 month year old me found saying "I am basically 18" to club bouncers didn't work either. Funny, that.

I feel your frustration, so close but so far away. However, if I "nearly" hit a car by driving past it with only 1mm to spare , I don't hit it, I completely miss it, if I'm half a mark away from the pass mark for an exam, I dont pass, I fail , if i arrive at 9.01 for a 9am appointment, I'm not early, or on time, I'm late. In all these scenarios, things are so close as to be neglible, but they are still one side or the other of the target. Like your birthday. Children born at 1 minute past midnight on 1st September are in one school year, children born at 1 minute before midnight will be in a different year... The examples could go on. You don't fall into the eligible category. This is frustrating. Hopefully it wont be long.

What would you do if you were in charge of vaccine roll out Op? What would you have as the cut off date?

BoomChicka · 09/06/2021 20:34

They are throwing vaccines at anyone that will have it in my area and have been for ages. Have you googled walk in clinics and are you willing to travel?

Kendodd · 09/06/2021 20:34

So you're 24 but identify as a 25 year old so think you should qualify?
