I know no one knows what will happen. But I will be really angry if the restrictions end, the hospitalizations go up and we end up in lockdown again.
I know the current restrictions are really harming some businesses. But currently, a lot of businesses are able to be open and make money. People can see family and friends and children are in school and nursery.
If needed I would much rather we operate like this for longer than risk going backwards.

Haven't RTFT, but agree with the OP. Johnson ignored scientific advice in September when he was advised to have a circuit breaker lockdown. The upshot was we ended up with the worst of all worlds: an economically devastating lockdown, thousands of avoidable deaths, and lots of families' Christmas plans ruined at the last minute. We need far more people fully vaccinated before it's safe to unlock further. Otherwise we risk ending up with the government reintroducing restrictions.

Sadly, I agree with you.

I’m usually very anti lockdown and was really looking forward to 21st June... holding off until schools break up seems so much more sensible. We can still do most things now, let’s hold off a little while longer rather than having another full lockdown again.
