DD started coughing yesterday so managed to book a test for this morning at a walk in centre. Just wondering how long, on average, results are taking these days?

Just had ours back. 14 hours for a negative. We can go on holiday tomorrow, whoop!

We did a home test on Friday, still hadn't received results today and I was fuming about the wasted weekend. Called 119 and it turned out that it was my mistake, I hadn't registered the test kit in my rush to get the test done and posted in time for the priority postbox cut off! After the man helped register it, the negative test result was emailed to me within minutes, leaving me feeling absolutely fuming with myself! So turnaround definitely is quick, unless you fuck up like I did 🙈

It took 12 hours yesterday. Very impressed.

Email seems to come through a few hours earlier than text.

I take it the labs are staffed with testers and admin teams 24/7?

Mine came back negative by email at 2am, so 17 hours. Brilliant service

Thanks @WaterBottle123 he’s feeling okay
The rest of us in the house were requested to do pcr by track and trace. Did yesterday at 11am, got emails at 2am saying all negative.
We will just sit tight ...
We think we all had it last March anyway and DS and I had long covid (I’ve been referred for it) so hopefully our immunity better. Was still expecting to be positive though as assumed immunity meant you’d have it but not have symptoms, instead of not be positive.

Oh no @CandyLeBonBon fingers crossed they come through this morning!

Yeah me too. I'm finding it hard to believe it will be positive tbh but just need confirmation that my symptoms are standard garden variety virus rather than Covid. Confused
