Pfizer side effects?

Tinkling · 10/05/2021 08:45

I’ve booked my vaccine and I’ve been allocated Pfizer as I’m under 40.

My vaccine is booked before a really busy weekend which I don’t want to be ill for.

I’m sure I read less people get side effects from Pfizer but that was months ago so apologies of this is a duplicate (or many-plicate) - can anyone advise? I’ve read the patient information leaflet.

Thanks

Had the phizer 2 days ago and no symptoms except sore arm which was bearable.

weegiepower · 17/05/2021 22:32

I had both Pfizer doses and after first no side effects and after second just a sore arm for a day

tortoiselover100 · 17/05/2021 22:37

I had first jab of Pfizer a week ago and got no symptoms. I kept forgetting I'd had it.

Puntastic · 19/05/2021 00:31

@wishingitwasfriday

I had my first Pfizer vaccine yesterday. Have felt ok although a sore arm. However this evening my bottom lip has swollen, as if I have lip filler and has gone numb. Not sure if it's a coincidence but never happened before. Off for an early night and hoping it's gone down in the morning as a bit embarrassed about going to work like it!
Yellow card it.

Thanks all. Just been done, I will update!

Jabbed 30hrs ago. So far vaguely sore arm and neck but not bad. Slightly tired. Been able to do all my usual things so far.

WaitingForNormality · 21/05/2021 09:59

I'm due to have Pfizer next Tuesday so following this thread.

OP how are you feeling today after being vaccinated yesterday?

Frymetothemoon · 21/05/2021 10:01

DH had his second yesterday morning. I think he's kind of disappointed he's feeling totally normal!!!

LucilleTheVampireBat · 21/05/2021 10:02

Had Pfizer yesterday morning, so just over 24 hours ago now. Am 40. Zero side effects. Arm got progressively more tender over the day yesterday, felt like I had a bruise. The soreness is gone this morning and have no ill effects whatsoever.

SmoothSailing · 21/05/2021 11:09

I had mine last week and only had a sore arm - such a relief it's done!

Campervan69 · 21/05/2021 12:42

Got mine on Wednesday. No side effects except slightly sore arm.

feckwit · 21/05/2021 12:45

First one I was unwell for about three days with what felt like a hangover. Headache, dizzy, tired. It was another few days before I felt fully well, so a week or so of not being right, but no sore arm at all! Second I had a slightly sore arm and had one day where I had extreme dizziness and kept fainting!

Tinkling · 21/05/2021 14:44

@WaitingForNormality

My arm started feeling sore within about 4-5 hours. Got progressively more sore overnight, but has improved today on movement.

I didn’t sleep well the night before so was in bed early and asleep by 9:15. Was up at 6:30 (broken sleep but that’s normal for me). Have felt tired and a very light headache (feels like when you’re tired) but kept busy today, when I stop I’m aware I’m fatigued but doing all my activities as normal.

I've been feeling a bit tired since (though manageable), and a bit more sweaty than usual (like hormonal night sweats but during the day).

Lemmen · 22/05/2021 11:26

Thank you all for this thread. Mine's booked next week and I have severe health anxiety, particularly focusing around side effects of things I eat or drink, let alone get injected into me! I am reading all your normal stories with some hope. Flowers

GypsyWanderer · 22/05/2021 15:16

It’s been a week and one day since I had my first and only just starting to feel over the side effects. My arm was painful for the first couple of days but I’ve had a headache every day since and so tired and achy. The first few days I was having chills but no fever. The headache was definitely the worst bit. It’s easing now and rather than it being constant it comes and goes. Not looking forward to the second but just want it over with.

year5teacher · 23/05/2021 07:53

I’ve never had covid and I had my Pfizer jab yesterday. Not going to lie, I feel like shit - better than I did yesterday evening though! My arm is very sore but that’s fine; what’s been more unpleasant has been the severe aching all over my bod my, nausea and exhaustion. I normally feel like this but the side effects have been about 75% worse than my “normal”.

CeeCeeEnnEss · 23/05/2021 08:27

Had my first Pfizer yesterday. Arm started hurting within a few hours and still really aches. Slept for 11 hours and would love to still be asleep, but otherwise feel ok.

TheVolturi · 23/05/2021 08:30

Mine will be two weeks ago tomorrow. Yesterday I had a really random bad dizzy /lightheaded spell. I felt nauseous and couldn't eat my tea. Lasted over an hour and I had to just sit down, not great as I was alone with the kids. Can't think of any other reason for it!

Runwayqueen · 23/05/2021 17:57

I had my first shot yesterday morning, within hours I had pain In my arm, a headache and was feeling nauseous. Today my arm is very painful and hot, however my headache is very mild and the nausea is mostly gone, only comes back if I bump my arm.

Callybrid · 23/05/2021 18:39

First shot yesterday afternoon - by evening arm started feeling sore and then developed extreme nausea, chills, shivering and racing heart (constantly at around 100bpm thru the night). Barely slept. Today am off food although less nauseous and generally weak and shaky. Heart rate back to normal. Hoping to sleep better tonight and feel a bit more normal tomorrow.

Chamonixshoopshoop · 23/05/2021 18:40

I had Pfizer a week ago.
Sore arm after and maybe a bit tired the next day, that’s it! Really happy to have had it ☺️

2orangey · 23/05/2021 19:01

Had Pfizer on Saturday afternoon. Felt fine until bedtime when my arm started aching and felt chills all over. Today I've felt tired and headache like I'm coming down with something. Swollen glands and sore throat.

Tinkling · 25/05/2021 07:16

Update: jab Thursday, sore arm that day and overnight

Friday had very mild fatigue and a very mild headache. Only noticed either if I stopped and sat down.

Saturday back to normal, arm didn’t hurt and fatigue and headache gone.

Sounds like I got off very lightly indeed after these more recent posts!

I got jabbed yesterday morning, arm got progressively more sore throughout the day.

Today it's still sore to lift, and I maybe have a little fatigue considering i didn't do all that much yesterday. No fever, chills or dramatic reaction.

Have heard the second one is more likely to provoke side effects so we'll see about that when it comes around!
