Oh, changing policy now it hits the news, what a surprise. Vile behaviour.

I had no problem getting my eyebrow wax and tint at the benefit bar in John Lewis Westfield when it was open - the therapist knew I worked on the frontline NHS

Haven't all companies basically had this policy throughout? I assumed NHS workers would just ignore and assume it doesn't apply to them. I queried this with Water Babies once they started back up again after lockdown 1 as my DH had been working with covid patients and they wanted him to sign a form saying he hadn't been in contact with anyone with covid. They just said they didn't include NHS workers and told him to sign the form anyway.

It all seems a bit pointless though, as if anyones going to answer yes unless they worked in a profession like healthcare.

Joe Bloggs who should be isolating but decided not to because they feel fine wont be incriminating themselves by admitting it trying to get a haircut

Presumably they don't ask for proof, surely they could just say no anyway Confused. They're not cruelty free anyway, so who cares.

Maybe nhs staff wouldn't want to or can't lie about their exposure risk in case it ever came back on them if there was an outbreak and it was traced back to them?

Hence why this policy backfired massively- it was intended to exclude 1 group but actually excluded lots of other groups too

@MercyBooth

Well when ppl are happy to equate illness to moral failing by blaming people for catching a virus (whether they are NHS staff or not) this is the inevitable result. Its almost as if these attitudes have consequences isnt it?!

I wouldn’t buy Benefit anyway, they test on animals. Vile company.
