2nd Vaccine-how was it for you?

Plenty of people have posted about their first injection and how they felt afterwards, but now second appointments are starting to come through and I thought it was worth asking. How was it?

Was the second AZ vaccine easier like they say? Or did the second Pfizer injection make you feel funky for a day?

I just had my second AZ this morning and I'm hoping it's going to be smoother than the first!

I had the second Pfizer today ( not U.K.). I feel tired but ok apart from that. Not sure if it’s the vaccine or I’m just tired tbh. I didn’t have any side effects from the first one either.

My DPs (70s) all had very sore arms after their 2nd doses of Pfizer. My Dsis (40s) felt absolutely fine. I don't know anyone who's had a 2nd dose of AZ yet.

My MIL had no side effects from the first Pfizer jab but the second hit her quite hard. Enough to stay in her bed for a couple of days. Very unlike her. She also got a big red sore lump on her arm

As I was leaving the vaccine centre, a man on a pennyfarthing pulled up next to me. 😂 For a minute I thought he must be a side effect.

Haha! Yes that must have been surreal! I’m due my second Astra Zeneca at the weekend and I’m very nervous as I felt like crap for a week after the first one! So happy to get them done though. Even so I would love to hear how anyone felt after the second one! I will update here after I’ve had it!

Migraine with aura 24 hours after my second AZ.
I hadn't had a migraine for a long, long time. I'm sure it was down to the vax at least in part.

2nd jab Pfizer on Saturday. My arm hurt like buggery until this morning, but felt awful today and couldn't get out of bed until 1230. Needed loads of paracetamol and profen to kill the banging headache.

Not feeling to bad now though, which is good as I'm starting work at 0645 tomorrow.

Second Pfizer 2 days ago. Sore arm otherwise fine, same with first jab. However after flu jab in autumn I felt awful!

Had 2nd Pfizer last Friday...first time felt fine no pain at the site and no after effects....this time had a very sore arm for 2 days and felt like I was coming down with a virus.....spent Saturday on the sofa exhausted....back to normal today

No side effects from my second AZ.
Felt very unwell after the first.

Agreed although 2nd made me feel very cold all day yesterday.

Had 2nd Pfizer about three hours ago. Feeling fine so far! Had a reaction to the plaster (of all things) last time but took it off straight away today!

Absolutely fine after second Pfizer. After first I just had a sore neck but could be BF DD

No symptoms after first or second Pfizer shot other than a bit of a sore arm. I actually felt like I had more energy than usual after my second!

Anyone who had no reactions whatsoever to the first AZ, what happened with the second?

My mum and dad are having their second AZ injections tomorrow

@PurplePumpkinDream I've had both doses of AZ, no side effects at all both times.

Had my second AZ one yesterday. Just felt a bit chilly for an hour in the afternoon, but feel absolutely fine this morning - hoping to hit our local retail park at 9am.

First vaccination I had the chills for an hour, felt a bit sick, then tiredness and headache. Funnily enough DH and myself were the only ones if our large friendship group (30+) who had side effects originally.

How long have people waited for the second AZ dose? The only people i know to have both jabs so far had Pfizer and 4-5 weeks between jabs.

My parents had 11 weeks between Pfizer jabs. We all have our second AZ appointments booked 11 weeks after first

I had my second Pfizer last week. Arm hurt for couple of days and day after was so sleepy I couldn't stay awake. Same with the first.

Anyone who had no reactions whatsoever to the first AZ, what happened with the second?

My mother-in-law had her second AZ on Saturday and had no side effects from that or the first one.

So far 3 of my colleagues have just had their second AZ in the last few days. The two colleagues in their 20's felt unwell for a day, and the colleague in her 40's was fine.
