I felt like I had the flu but was fine by the evening apart from a sore arm 🙂

oneglassandpuzzled · 26/03/2021 10:39

I was completely back to normal by day two. Day one really wasn't too bad, either. Very mild symptoms.

HHSchultz · 26/03/2021 10:42

@MRex

Hopefully you'll be just fine *@HHSchultz*.
Thank you Smile

Had mine yesterday morning and other than an achy arm I feel fine so far - just done an hour’s tough weight/HIIT session with no problems. If I’m still ok by tomorrow I figure I’m home & dry (I hope 🤞)

Tashface · 26/03/2021 11:12

Had mine 12pm Wednesday. Haven't had any side effects at all. Only noticed one weird thing - 4pm Thursday I couldn't keep my eyes open (completely unusual) so I had a kip in the chair for two hours. Back to being perfectly fine after that!

Cindersrellie · 26/03/2021 11:14

I'm on day 3 and my whole arm is still very sore, even the shoulder! Any movement is painful. Still, not as bad as actual covid Grin

Dolciedolly · 26/03/2021 11:23

Had mine weds 4pm and still feeling poorly nausea etc I hope not like this 2nd injection

Highforareason · 26/03/2021 12:26

Am update from this morning, been doing light housework and pottering and feel 100% better from yesterday, arm not as sore and not tired, but not surprising as I have slept for ever.

misskatamari · 26/03/2021 12:43

I wasn't as bad day two, as day one I had muscle aches and a fever, so felt awful. I still felt very shit day 2 tho. Exhausted, woozy etc. Took me a good few days to feel back to normal

dcb2 · 26/03/2021 12:47

Had mine yesterday. Felt fine until 4am when I woke with a banging headache, almost as if someone had punched me in the front of my head. Thankfully paracetamol has taken the edge off.

MissRainbowBrite · 26/03/2021 12:53

@Tigerchips I'd definitely second your recommendation of paracetamol straightaway and keeping up with it for 48 hours after.
I had the AZ at 5pm on Sunday and had 2 paracetamol as soon as I got home then 2 more before bed and all day Monday then a couple of doses Tuesday and the most I got was a sore arm.

Endeavormorse · 26/03/2021 12:54

Had mine yesterday morning, sore arm but nothing else. Fingers crossed it stays that way

Crakeandoryx · 26/03/2021 13:04

Had mine yesterday. I feel like I've had a late night but that's it so far, even my arm is ok. A few body aches/stiffness but I've had that on and off during winter lockdown. Just been taking paracetamol and getting on with life.

SamW98 · 26/03/2021 13:17

Had mine last Thursday 4pm. Woke up at 3am absolutely shivering like I had a fever.

Went back to sleep then woke up at 7 with the worst headache ever. I also felt like I was going to throw up. I laid on sofa and kept falling asleep. I couldn't eat or drink anything as felt so nauseous. Finally managed to eat around 7pm then was so exhausted I was in bed by 9.30 and slept for almost 12 hours.

Saturday I felt achy and tired. went for a 8000 steps walk and my legs felt like lead - it was a struggle. Same again Sunday

I think it was almost a week before I felt back to normal again

Bluntness100 · 26/03/2021 13:19

I genuinely expected to be totally fine. And honestly thought anyone with a side effect was jist a drama queen. Which has just gone to show what an idiot I am, because I honestly feel exhausted, like I have a head cold and my body is stiff. I’m sure I’ll be fine tomorrow but am honestly shocked I feel so shit. I could go to bed now and just sleep.

Covidandacold · 26/03/2021 13:50

Mine was Wednesday, when I only had a sore arm. Yesterday felt tired, nauseous, had a headache and shivery. Today a slight headache and feel wiped out. I’m hoping I’ll feel better by tomorrow.

GintyMcGinty · 26/03/2021 13:51

I had no side effects at all.

quarentini · 26/03/2021 16:30

Had mine on Sunday, was fine all day Monday till 11pm then had a bad headache.
Went to bed woke up 8 am with the same headache, was tired all day Tuesday so just watched tv.
Absolutely fine on Wednesday

Meruem · 26/03/2021 17:17

Following with interest as I had my first dose at 1pm today! Will see how I am in 24 hrs. Interesting about the paracetamol, I took 2 a couple of hours ago as a (hopefully) preventative measure. I usually avoid painkillers but I figured it couldn’t hurt.

en0la · 26/03/2021 17:21

Tired the morning after then woke that night with the alternating chills and feeling hot, headache and like the mild flu. Right as rain the next morning. A few days later I got a horrible itchy rash which I've never had before and felt sick and dizzy for a few days.

Neolara · 26/03/2021 19:31

"Following with interest as I had my first dose at 1pm today!"

Me too! Feeling ok so far so fingers crossed.

SprungisSpringYaY · 26/03/2021 20:31

Op I had the classic symptoms that night and next day, then fine but five days later today I feel strangely wooly and dizzy ish too

Norugratsatall · 26/03/2021 20:56

I had a tender red arm at injection site but no other effects. I have Long Covid though but no side effects above and beyond what that normally causes.

Username0981237645 · 26/03/2021 21:27

Got through the day, felt very dizzy and sick at times throughout the day and my tempreatures were all over the place, was told I looked 'a bit shit' this morning (it was meant in a nice way!) but I seem to be feeling a lot better now. Hope everybody else with symptoms is feeling a lot better too!!

Had mine on Tuesday. On Wednesday I woke up feeling really rough, aches from head to toe. I've felt a bit rough everyday since, getting gradually better. Today is the first day I've woken up without a thumping headache and my arm is still a bit sore. I'm not impressed and not looking forward to dose number 2. I'm actually on leave this week but would have to have taken time off work if not (and I'm never off!)
