Just the title really, I had my injection on Wednesday night I felt a little rubbish yesterday but today I just feel so dizzy, my head feels wooly and my arm hurts . Did anybody else worse day 2 than day 1?

OP posts:
SedentaryCat · 26/03/2021 07:53

I felt tired and a little fazed on day two and my arm had just started to react at the injection site. Swollen and tender. Two weeks on I still feel a bit tired if I do too much but it's getting better.

DH is on day two now after a day sleeping yesterday. His arm has just started to react and he feels a little out of it today. Appetite has returned and he's up and dressed.

cherrytree63 · 26/03/2021 07:56

I had mine last Friday, woke in the early hours of Saturday feeling as if I was getting flu, still feeling like I've been steam rolled.
I have chronic insomnia but have been sleeping better than I have for 20 years, it's one side effect I can happily live with!
My arm hurt for about 4 days.
I have fibromyalgia and arthritis so maybe it's triggered a flare up.

Unescorted · 26/03/2021 07:57

I had it Tuesday - just a slightly sore arm. Getting the flu jab was worse.

Hope you all feel better soon.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 26/03/2021 07:59

Had mine at 1pm on Tuesday. Felt fine until 8pm when I suddenly came over extremely cold and started to violently shiver to the point my teeth were chattering. Took paracetamol and a hot cup of tea and after an hour of not being able to warm up I went to bed with a hot water bottle. Had a feverish night and felt very tired and sluggish the following day. Completely fine by yesterday.

DH had his on Wednesday morning and was completely fine all day but woke up feverish in the night and felt tired yesterday. Seems fine so far today.

Bluntness100 · 26/03/2021 08:01

I had it yesterday, last night I felt a little blocked up, I couldn’t breathe through my nose, and same today, just popped an antihistamine. Not sure if they are related though and sure i will be fine.

TracyHorrobin · 26/03/2021 08:07

I felt "hungover" for 24 hours, fine after that.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 26/03/2021 08:08

I just felt really tired for a couple of weeks. My sister was the same. It turned us into cats!

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/03/2021 08:09

DH was ok until day 6. Gp said it's not uncommon. It's now day 9 and he's ok again.

MagicSummer · 26/03/2021 08:09

I had mine early on a Wednesday - felt OK until the late afternoon when I began to feel terribly tired. Was desperately tired all Thursday and shivery, but slept well and was fine by Friday. Slightly sore arm for a couple of days.

HHSchultz · 26/03/2021 08:12
@HHSchultz - I have an autoimmune disease too and fine as above. My mum has the same and also fine with Pfizer. There isn't necessarily a bigger issue.
What do you mean, there isn't necessarily a bigger issue?

EternalOptimist7 · 26/03/2021 08:14

Seems to vary a lot OP. My parents are in their 80s & had absolutely no after effects at all. DH ( late 50s) was absolutely shattered on day 2 & still a bit tired on day 3. I just had a tender arm & felt a bit wobbly on day 1 but woke up on day 2 with the headache from hell. I thought I would have to miss work but was a lot better by the time my late shift started. My arm is still sore though.

EternalOptimist7 · 26/03/2021 08:14

P .S My jab was on Monday.

MRex · 26/03/2021 08:21

@HHSchultz - you said "I have an autoimmune disease too so I'm worried now". I was trying to reassure you that at least in our cases there haven't bad side effects despite having autoimmune diseases, so there may not be a link between having an autoimmune disease and getting side effects. I thought my words were quite clear to be honest.

Highforareason · 26/03/2021 08:24

Had mine late Sat, fine all day Sunday just a slight sore arm, but come Monday around 9.30am I hit a brick wall, tired beyond anything, hot/cold shivers, aching arms legs, slept a lot, same Tuesday tired achy with a very sore neck on the side of my jab, arm felling worse and swollen.

Wednesday felt fine got on with housework etc. no problems, just a sore arm.

Then Thursday back to feeling like I hit a brick wall of fatigue, slept a lot, no appetite which was a good job as I was also vomiting I have not had any headaches at all though, but too paracetamol and hot lemon/beechams.

Today its still early, but had a hot drink and dont have such a 'fuzzy' head, fingers crossed.

Hope those who are still having after effects feel better soon

LookToTreblesGoingTreblesGone · 26/03/2021 08:25

I had absolutely no side effects at all. Not even an achey arm.

Molehillfromamountain · 26/03/2021 08:25

DH had his Thursday morning, he felt fine all day but didn't sleep last night, is very hot and bothered and feeling dreadful now. Have left him in bed with paracetamol.

OnTheBenchOfDoom · 26/03/2021 08:35

I had AZ jab at 9am, started to get headache about 7pm same day, then in the night that turned into shivers, upset stomach, very sore arm and I ached all over.

24-48 hours after jab I was completely exhausted, too weak to really leave my bed and I still had an upset stomach and I couldn't raise my left arm above shoulder height as a sharp pain ripped through my arm. I know I am not alone on that one.

48 hours after jab I still had a headache and a bit achy all over but much better and clearly improving. I am now on day 6 and it is the first time I can raise my arm over my head with no pain. I hope you feel better soon. Dh had the jab at the same time and had no side effects at all.

TangerineCandyfloss · 26/03/2021 08:51

Had mine yesterday morning. Felt pretty much fine until about 6.30 last night and rapidly went downhill.

Red hot, quite violent shivers, banging headache, nauseous, very sore arm - both arms in fact 🤔 and general muscle ache.

Went to bed at 9.30, dosed up on paracetamol and ibuprofen. Woke up feeling still a little groggy, but not as bad as I feared. Hoping I don't go backwards like some, but it's all worth it. Just going to keep topped up with painkillers and water.

memberofthewedding · 26/03/2021 08:53

Just a bit tired and washed out for a couple of days but no sore arm.

simbobs · 26/03/2021 09:00

I had no after effects from mine. Having read so many threads similar to this one I was fully expecting to feel ropey, but nothing. I'm only posting this to show that not everyone reacts the same.

HHSchultz · 26/03/2021 09:02

Yes sorry I understand now, I'm just not fully functioning as normal at the moment, and it can take me a while to understand things at the best of times Blush

Hm2020 · 26/03/2021 10:17

I had mine Wednesday morning had diarrhoea Wednesday night woke up Thursday morning with an arm that hurt all the way down to the hand and body aches slept quite a bit yesterday and seem to feel a lot better this morning

Tigerchips · 26/03/2021 10:28

Did you all take paracetamol? I was told to and have been taking it since. I'll have more later on but I feel fine.
