Cases rising?

Are cases rising in your area?. Getting a bit despondent about the number of councils where cases are now rising and wondering why this is happening. See on this site www.covidmessenger.com/
The list of councils has if the cases are rising on the left

Well you selectively ignore any positive info and don’t response constructively to any critical appraisal of the info you provide nut nuts

Case drop, week on week average, now 26.6%.

I can’t decide whether the number to colour key on the Guardian map of hotspots has changed? I feel like as numbers have reduced the red number has too. I’m sure we were way over 160 per 100, 000 but never made it to red and the south east would have been 10 x that figure in January.

SpringTimeDream · 02/04/2021 17:52

Not rising here, extremely low numbers.

@Dodie66 do you have a university nearby?

Dodie66 · 02/04/2021 17:55

No I don’t have a university nearby. I live in a rural area in a triangle between 3 large towns

Bristol appears on that map and cases are rising slightly but still very low at just over 50 per hundred thousand.

It uses a dynamic scale so changes with the data.

My area has always been high. We were in local lockdown pretty much all year last year. But they are actually falling here which is a miracle! Nationally, they are still declining. Cases were in the 3000’s today. 🙌🏼 Easter holidays started for some last week & have just started for everyone else, should help a lot also!

nex18 · 03/04/2021 12:28

Ah thanks @Bordois, I didn’t realise there was an official term. So if you just look at colours you can be fooled to think levels are still high.
