Longer term Pfizer vaccine side effects?

I was very lucky to have the vaccine 2 ish weeks ago (30s no health conditions), all was generally fine, but I was wondering if anyone else has had any lingering side effects or what I'm feeling is just generally under the weather/eaten something etc.

I still have pain at the injection site which feels like a pinch and hurts when I raise my arm, put on or take off tops etc

I've had an upset stomach for about a week I can't shake!

My joints in particularly in my legs hurt!

Pretty bad brain fog.

I didn't feel ill at all from the vaccine at the time just a sore arm.

Yes I’ve been to the GP this week and they didn’t really know the answers. They just said lots of people are going in with a range of different things at different times after the vaccines and as it’s so new they can’t really say if it is or isn’t vaccines.

WhyDoIFeelAwful · 12/06/2021 20:32

Rainy that's better than my GP surgery. They just flatly denied that it could possibly be the vaccine. Hmm

WhyDoIFeelAwful · 12/06/2021 20:34

She tried to give me HRT. Again!

deathbypostitnote · 12/06/2021 20:35

I had really bad stomach problems for weeks afterwards but not sure if there's a connection.

sociallydistained · 12/06/2021 21:52

@deathbypostitnote I have been having a small amount of pain in my stomach and bloating. It’s taken a back seat to the lack of energy/brain fog so not sure if it’s related or not but is still ongoing and not usual for me.

2boysand1princess · 12/06/2021 23:03

I got the pain and bloating for almost 2-3 weeks
After the second dose, but my sister got it after the first. It does eventually settle. Mine was horrific first 2 weeks. Really painful for me and the bloating was crazy!

2boysand1princess · 12/06/2021 23:03

Definitely connected. Me and my sister got this real bad

Please do yellow card even if a longer time after. It’s so important to get a full picture of this new technology

I have had real gastro problems since my Pfizer a month ago. Everything goes straight though me Blush A few people have said similar. Does this get better?

Curatingchaos · 12/06/2021 23:43

Through me

deathbypostitnote · 13/06/2021 00:17

curatin

For me, yes. Just when I waw in absolute despair (maybe 4 weeks after the first dose) it disappeared. I have a history of IBS and my guess is the vaccine triggered a flare up - but just a guess. It didn't happen after the second one.

I’ve just started with heartburn and palpitations about a week after having the Pfizer vaccine. Can’t say for sure linked but never happened before.

turtlesanddragons · 13/06/2021 14:10

I've had both jabs. in my 30s I was poorly after both for a day then fine again. I have had uncontrollable twitching every so often in my eyes since having it.

Curatingchaos · 13/06/2021 15:02

Omg yes the twitching. Wtf is it????
I’ve had twitching around my nose , above my mouth, one sided. And eye spasms.

Glad it's not just me then. I told a few people and they have all said it must be a coincidence but I don't think it is. it's really annoying. never experienced it before. sometimes my eyes just won't stop.

I just found this thread because I had my second Pfizer vaccine a week ago and have had worsening side effects as the week has progressed. Have had consistent heartburn, headaches (neither of which I have ever really had before) and a really upset tummy and now hot flushes/sweats. I’ve only ever had heartburn in pregnancy so I actually took a pregnancy test it was so bad! I’m getting worried now it’s been a week. I’m early thirties and fairly active and healthy.

I had myocarditis diagnosed after an MRNA. Main symptoms were strong heartburn-like pains which resolved in a few days and then palpitations. It was diagnosed after a few days when I went to hospital (felt absolutely terrible two days after, so it was strong). After a few weeks the bloodwork and ECG were normal, but it still showed on MRI and I had ongoing palpitations/occasional pain/was run down. It has required ongoing treatment and MRI was crucial for diagnosis, hence I wanted to let others know.
