Using this link:
www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
Anyone over 60 will be able to proceed with getting an appointment and no longer receive the 'You are not eligible to book through this service' message.

Everyone in England you mean

SnowdropsCrocuses · 24/02/2021 11:40

It says over 64

Summerflowers209 · 24/02/2021 11:41

It says over 64, however anyone over 60 in England can proceed with a booking if they wish, and are deemed eligible in the system.

What about Wales?

gisbons · 24/02/2021 11:44

Wonderful news but careful OP you will get some angry posts... Hmm

stuckasastuckthing · 24/02/2021 11:44

Is it definitely over 60 as people on our local groups have said it works for 62 but not 61 year olds?

SnowdropsCrocuses · 24/02/2021 11:44

Thanks Summerflowers209. Hopefully it will get down to Group 9 (50+) soon (me!)

OldRailer · 24/02/2021 11:44

Definitely not Scotland.

Emotemebaby · 24/02/2021 11:44

No one cares about Wales. Except for Wales. Unless it's for water, or ridiculing the language. We Welsh should just sit down and shut up.

Yes I'm in a ranty mood 😐😂

Summerflowers209 · 24/02/2021 11:44

Apologies I am not sure how to access information for other countries, if anyone has alternative national public links please feel free to post them.

OP posts:
OldRailer · 24/02/2021 11:46

Tell us about Wales Emote! I care I have family there waiting for vaccines!

All I can say is this scheme isn't in Scotland so don't waste time looking for it there!

Brumcherub · 24/02/2021 11:46

Thank you just booked.

Summerflowers209 · 24/02/2021 11:46

@stuckasastuckthing as of yesterday my 60 year old DM was able to book, she got the not eligible message on Sunday though.

OP posts:
OldRailer · 24/02/2021 11:46

It's great news it's in England though.

ssd · 24/02/2021 11:49

It is brilliant, wish we had it

ssd · 24/02/2021 11:52

Dont need the Hmm

The op is misleading, end of

However, @Summerflowers209 recognised this

OldRailer · 24/02/2021 11:55

I think ssd there have been sometimes posts complaining these numbers are queue jumping. Which they aren't.

PuzzledObserver · 24/02/2021 11:57

I think it must be area-dependent. Doesn’t work for my sister who turned 60 a couple of weeks ago.

gisbons · 24/02/2021 12:22

OP isn’t at all misleading.

The system will recognise if you are eligible, even if you haven’t yet received a letter.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 24/02/2021 12:46

Hang on - the link says this only applies to the over 64s who have a shielding letter, are front line workers or get Carer's Allowance

If I'm reading it right it's hardly for anyone over 64 is it, never mind 60?

PatriciaHolm · 24/02/2021 12:53

No, it says if any of the following apply... so just being 64 is fine.

you are aged 64 or over
you have previously received a letter saying you are at high risk from coronavirus (clinically extremely vulnerable)
you are an eligible frontline health worker
you are an eligible frontline social care worker
you are eligible for Carer's Allowance – find out more about Carer's Allowance on GOV.UK

SnowdropsCrocuses · 24/02/2021 12:54

The op has already responded about it saying 65+ as that point was already raised

Fuckadoodledoooo · 24/02/2021 13:05

Do you have to be registered with a GP or do you book with NHS number?

Asking for a family member who is a private patient (as am I) and not registered with an NHS GP.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 24/02/2021 13:08

You got my all excited for my 62 year old mum then Sad

sunshinel · 24/02/2021 13:11

I've booked my 61 year old mum and 63 year old dad, it won't let you proceed if you're not eligible
