Pfizer vaccine - did you have side effects?

ImFree2doasiwant · 18/02/2021 19:31

My neck is agony, on the left side (injection in long left arm)

Also feel very tired, foggy headed and nauseous. But it's mostly the neck pain that is bothering me.

Has anyone else had this?

Not from personal experience but those I know who have had Pfizer have had a range of side effects (sore arm / sickness / diarrhoea) and those who've had AZ have had none

DontFuckItUp · 18/02/2021 20:32

Extreme tiredness and headaches for two days after then nausea, aches for two days after that.

VicarofDibley · 18/02/2021 21:02

I had neck pain same side as I had the jab. Felt extremly cold for the next day and painful stiff arm but all gone in 48hrs .

PuzzledObserver · 18/02/2021 21:38

Had mine Tuesday. The injection site is tender, slightly swollen, and now red - a growing red circle.

I could also believe I had a very mild headache yesterday and today.

mynameiscalypso · 18/02/2021 21:40

I started sneezing about 48 hours after and couldn't stop. I thought I was coming down with something horrible and had a splitting headache. It went after a few hours though. It was really quite strange!

EspressoExpresso · 18/02/2021 21:40

Nothing at all here. Hoping it'll be the same next time round top!

veeeeh · 18/02/2021 21:41

The big issue is that soon enough, there will be many claiming adverse effects.

Anti vaxxers are out there waiting for the first sign.

Mindymomo · 18/02/2021 21:43

DH had his Tuesday evening, couldn’t sleep as arm was very sore and all day yesterday he said everything in his body ached, particularly his hips, every movement made him flinch in pain. Woke up today with just slight arm soreness, but so glad to be feeling better. It proves it’s working, which is good.

Xenia · 18/02/2021 21:47

So many of you have been offered it.

In this bit of London even older neighbours have not all had it yet never mind people in their 60s or younger!

PuzzledObserver · 18/02/2021 21:50

Yeah, I’ve been tired too. Yesterday and today. I think it’s a small price to pay.

Parker231 · 18/02/2021 21:53

My elderly neighbours said they felt incredibly tired for a couple of days. Now back to normal and counting down to their second vaccine.

ammary · 18/02/2021 22:03

Dead arm for 3 days

Oilyvoir · 18/02/2021 22:05

None really. very slightly like I was coming down with a cold.

nocturnalke · 18/02/2021 22:10

Sore arm for two days after. Headache
/feeling rough day after jab. Felt completely fine on third day.

ImFree2doasiwant · 18/02/2021 22:33

I'm really struggling with the neck pain. I'm not against having vaccinations, that's not the purpose of this thread at all. I do think its useful to know possible side effects though.

MIL had AZ and was in bed for 24 hrs afterwards with flu like symptoms.

Giggorata · 18/02/2021 22:45

Nothing not even a sore arm. (1st dose)

TheHateIsNotGood · 18/02/2021 22:48

Nothing had Pfizer yesterday - if I felt anything it was a release of pent up tension - which can give aches and pains as a side effect, so consider that too.

mintyneb · 18/02/2021 22:49

Had mine yesterday morning. Sore arm today but not as bad as I get with the flu jab when it usually swells up and goes blotchy.

Have had a muzzy head all day today, mild nausea and tiredness - bit like a hangover I guess! Legs and knees in particular now starting to ache. But absolutely worth it. I lost my FIL to covid just before Christmas and my SIL is having a terrible time of it for the last 6 weeks

Cassimin · 18/02/2021 22:50

Sore arm for a day and slight palpitations.
Don’t know if they were due to the vaccine but I’ve never had them before.
Fine after 2 days

JS87 · 18/02/2021 22:50

Is the pain in the glands or the back of the neck? If it’s the front it’s probably swollen lymph nodes, at the back it could be a migraine or maybe you’ve cricked it, perhaps as a result of posture due to sore arm?
My arm was really sore afterwards. I had to move it with my other arm in bed as it hurt so much to move.

mollibu · 18/02/2021 22:51

I suffered with neck pain and extreme tiredness. It went within two days.

Oblomov21 · 18/02/2021 22:51

Sore arm for 2 days.

ImFree2doasiwant · 18/02/2021 22:52

No arm soreness at all, nausea seems to have passed. Just the agonising neck now.

Poshjock · 18/02/2021 22:52

Nothing at all. Wondered if they’d accidentally injected me with water instead! DH on the other hand had headache and nausea about 4 hours after the injection and tiredness and diarrhoea the next day until about dinner time.
