How would you feel about a return to a tier system

Seen them mentioned a bit in the news today despite hearing previously they wouldn't be returning. Do you think they are a good idea and do you think you previous tier has a bearing on your opinion?

No please no more tiers! They don't work!

I lived in a tier two town, so so many visitors from higher tier areas came to our town to visit and come to our shops / cafes - I know because they told me (I work in retail). Movement between tiers can't be patrolled really, so best to have a system across the country than rely on people to follow the rules.

When you go down a tier... it felt as though you were stuck there. We came out out of November lockdown still in strict tier... but with better improvements than say London who were given tier 2. I think it's much better if we're all kept the same.

The tier system did create a lot resentment, especially about London. It was a real kick in the teeth being told it was about hospital beds, when they are trying to close your local hospital when the provision is already a lot poorer than the major cities

My vaccinated neighbours already had visitors today and yesterday inside their homes (nice respectable elderly tories not the typical picture of rule breakers) so good luck to whoever has to work out the next round of restrictions with all the older people vaccinated having stayed at home for a year now and no longer playing ball
Our neighbours are largely retired and in their late 60s/early 70s, but in excellent health And very active (also fit your description of nice respectable Tories). They are in no way sticking to lockdown as strictly as they were in the past. My own parents are being vaccinated imminently and are already asking when we want to go round for tea. It’s really frustrating me! We have stayed at home, I believe, largely to protect the older generation and yet they don’t seem to be willing to comply now that they are less likely to get seriously ill, forgetting that the rest of us haven’t yet been jabbed so don’t have the same protection.

I thought tiers were good thing, minimise local harm rather than one size fits all rules.

No, stupid idea. My town was really low rates until the neighbouring towns went into higher tiers so everyone shopped here. It's all nonsense. Just open the bloody country up and let us all get on with life.
