If you've been invited for a vaccine, how old are you?

Also, where do you live if you aren't clinically vulnerable?

32, healthy, unemployed, Staffordshire

Coffeecreativity · 18/02/2021 00:13

There's such variation here. I would love to see the algorithm.

46, having mine on Saturday. Underlying health conditions.

It is bizarre that people in their 30s with no reason to be invited are being vaccinated, when millions in the priority groups are still waiting.
79Fleur · 18/02/2021 09:05

Im 41 my vaccine is booked for tomorrow - I’m in North Yorkshire.
I am healthy but I was invited under cohort 6 as I am registered at the GP as an informal / unpaid carer for my partner who is ECV.

Lottie4 · 18/02/2021 09:15

I'm 53 and qualified for mine through work. I have two jobs and feel a lot safer in my job which I qualified for vaccine that my other one which I don't qualify under!

LucilleTheVampireBat · 18/02/2021 09:19

Husband has his on Saturday. He's 56. Live in Lancashire. Think that they are flying through the priority groups here and he has been flagged up as he has angina and is also waiting for stent operation.

trevthecat · 18/02/2021 09:23

33, NW England, no health conditions, just trained as a vaccinator, jab is on Saturday

PuzzledObserver · 18/02/2021 09:28

57, with diabetes.

The youngest person I know without either health or occupational reasons is in the 65-69 bracket. Warwickshire.

claracluck1978 · 18/02/2021 09:28

42, South Coast and having mine tomorrow. My BMI is just over 40 but I've also been investigated for another health complaint. Text invited me to book came on Monday. My OH also got a text the same day and he gets the flu jab due to persistent chest infections/had pneumonia.

Neither of my 65yr old parents have been invited for theirs yet but my 70+ in-laws had their first jabs a month or so ago.

SassenachWitch · 18/02/2021 09:33

DP has his next week, he’s 48, heart attack 13 years ago (been fine ever since), my Dad who is 61, had a heart attack 15 years ago hasn’t been called for his, we live within 2 miles of each other, but different Drs surgery.

cuckooplusone · 18/02/2021 09:39

46, Hampshire, had mine yesterday, not sure why but I do have various auto immune conditions (hadn’t realised I was more at risk but maybe I am group 6)

cripez · 18/02/2021 09:49

I'm 39. Having mine today. Grin

Blondeissimo · 18/02/2021 09:53

48, NW England - brought forward as a recent stroke puts me in cat 6.

Jocasta2018 · 18/02/2021 10:07

I'm Group 6, 48 & getting my jab later today!
Actually got it before the postal/text invite as I called my surgery yesterday about a different matter, asked about a jab & was booked in straight away.

Gumbo · 18/02/2021 10:12

51, didn't know I was in the clinically vulnerable group so I was surprised... but I recently had brain surgery which also means I'm now epileptic, so perhaps it was that. DH is older but not yet been invited.

South west

clopper · 18/02/2021 10:19

Dh is 57 just had his. He has sleep apnea and high blood pressure so maybe that is why he got it early? We were surprised to be honest. The more people that have it the better as far as I'm concerned as it will end up helping the more vunerable by having more people in society vaccinated so less risk

Pastanred · 18/02/2021 10:20

north west are currently down to group 8 in some areas - 50s but healthy

RedRosie · 18/02/2021 10:20
  1. No relevant conditions. Central London.
skinwalker · 18/02/2021 10:25

I am 51 with health conditions. I thought that I would be in Group 6 but have not heard anything. I am in the NW

cannot ring my GPs, they seem to have imploded, apparently their phone lines have been down since 5 Feb. Not updated their website since last March and stopped doing my B12 injections (i have been doing them myself all year)

LegendDairy · 18/02/2021 10:29

I'm 35 and I got the text from GP this morning. I have no conditions and I'm not a carer. They're contacting anyone who can fill appointments last minute. I'm booked in for about hour and half time. Luckily I'm only just down the road from one of the mass vaccination centres.

rainbowdashsneeze · 18/02/2021 10:29

32

Ginfordinner · 18/02/2021 10:41

I wonder if it is to do with supply. DH had a letter, then our local group practice posted on the local Facebook page stating that they didn't know when they would receive the vaccines, and anyone who didn't want to wait could book online elsewhere. I am taking DH to the next city to get his later today.

This is where having access to social media is so very useful.

cricketmum84 · 18/02/2021 10:46

36, also diabetic. I'm booked in for next Friday.

thatonesmine · 18/02/2021 10:55

@Poorlykitten
I use Ultibro Breezhaler daily, my COPD was spotted early and I was put on medication straight away, this was 4 or 5 years ago and I've never had any symptoms.
