In the first lockdown I had ENOUGH of having to watch my horrible teeth sticking out when I speak on zoom.

So I got invisalign and I'm almost finished it now! My teeth look so much better. I've definitely had ENOUGH though of having to brush my teeth after every single snack.

Enough of certain political groups publishing threads like this all over social media, trying to encourage everyone to revolt and ignore safeguards RIGHT NOW. Enough of posters who I suspect are not suffering one little bit, pretending to be, in order to get genuinely suffering people (and I'm sure there are many) riled up towards the revolution or whatever it is they have in mind (a non-violent mini-revolutionette?).

It should only be a very few months now, maybe only two or three, before enough of the population are vaccinated to make it safe to do those things we are all longing to do. (Visit my grandchildren and get a haircut, in that order, for my part.) Lifting the restrictions too soon and too drastically will put us back to square 1, just like it did last June when the government were actually paying people to go out and socialise . It's been said before but "the economy or the pandemic" is not an either-or choice. The economy will be badly impacted if a lot of workers are off sick or dead too.

But then if you think it's all made up because the government actually wants us cowering indoors instead of out there working, earning and paying them taxes, there's nothing I can say that will make a difference. No doubt the same people who think speed cameras on motorways and double yellow lines around corners are installed to catch people out and make money.

Hmm, it's quite convenient at a time that certain groups are pushing to end lockdown, isn't it? It does seem like they are trying to push their agenda, at a time that most people are fed up but understand why it needs to happen. I have family with similar views and they don't seem to get that without lockdown, the hospitalisation numbers and deaths would be so much higher. They think it would be back to normal. It wouldn't.

I get lockdown is shit. I'm fed up too. I miss old life, going out, family, friends. But the alternative is worse.

On a lighter note, here's my enough:

Enough of the arrogance of government and scientists thinking they can control this. It's a virus. Viruses were here before humans and they will be here after we're gone. Unfortunately you can never control something like this, and as sad as it is when people die, sometimes you just have to weigh up the risks and crack on.

The plague. Smallpox. TB. Polio. Ebola. All brought under control through intervention.

You'd have to be an absolute loon to just let it rip through the population unchecked.
