I have had ENOUGH of this thread now!

GetOffYourHighHorse · 17/02/2021 11:14

'Enough of comparisons with the fucking flu which doesn't fill intensive care wards over capacity in any year regardless of how many respective deaths are caused.'

Oh yes and the amount of mumsnetters who said 'the nhs is busy every year! They're being dictators taking my civil liberties for no good reason i'll take my own risks and so will my nan' 🙄.

'Thousands and thousands of us are at work'

You're on mumsnet! Jesus.

hansgrueber · 17/02/2021 11:15

@RMRM

Enough of people thinking the pandemic will simply go away because they've had enough.
Very well said. Enough of the idiots who think this is unique to the UK, the ones who don't know the word 'global!
Thegereldine3000 · 17/02/2021 11:15

Enough of censorship

pinkearedcow · 17/02/2021 11:15
@pinkearedcow - Sorry bad example.

I can buy 98 cans of coke, 236 packets of crisps.

Yet I can not buy printer ink, a phone charger, a frying pan, a towell or a dressing gown.
Yes, I agree it is daft.

NorbertMeubles · 17/02/2021 11:15

@Beccatheboo

RMRM - enough of the condescension and moral highground.
This.
LordOfTheOnionRings · 17/02/2021 11:16

Enough rejecting cheese from my body IBS you fucker I just wanna eat a babybel dammit

DameFanny · 17/02/2021 11:17

"as flu season looms" @fromdownwest. Meaning not at capacity due to flu, but due to the ongoing under investment, cuts and diversion of funds from the NHS to private 'providers' over the last decade.

But we have been over capacity, using facilities converted to ICUs, due to covid.

If the NHS had been in a better state, response would have been better. If they'd had more PPE, fewer doctors, nurses and other HCPs would have been taken out of work by illness and death, but that's something else this government fucked up on.

So no, flu is nothing like covid in its impact, and don't vote Tory if you want a national health service that works.

duffeldaisy · 17/02/2021 11:17

Enough of people not getting the correlation between people mixing and the virus spreading/mutating and people then dying 4+ weeks later.

Enough of people wanting to lift lockdown early, just to waste - yet again - all of this effort in tackling the virus, as numbers then rise over the next couple of months, just in time for another *%$£%ing lockdown over summer, while yet more thousands of people have their lives cut short, the virus mutates enough to avoid vaccines and we start all over again.

Yes, it's awful, it's not normal, it's a grim way to live. But let's do this properly at some point, get the numbers right down, and then we can live more normally and give the NHS space to treat other conditions.

@Thegereldine3000

Enough of censorship
Enough of bleating "censorship" when someone has the gall to point out that someone's talking bollocks

Enough of my job on the front line. I’m quitting as soon as I can. This has been the final straw.

thedancingbear · 17/02/2021 11:19

@Thegereldine3000

Enough of censorship
I don't think there's been a single deleted post on this thread.

The fact that people are being called out for spouting arrant factless shit does not equal censorship. If anything, it's the opposite.

LastTrainEast · 17/02/2021 11:19

@judgingcat

Enough of blaming covid for dying when it's cancer, mental health, etc killing people first!
Enough of fake news like this. Look up the facts (not on youtube)
TwelvePaws · 17/02/2021 11:19

If you really don’t understand the differences between covid and flu, a quick google search will fill you in on the basics. Then if you’re interested, there is lots more in depth reading you can do.

CrazyCatLazy · 17/02/2021 11:20

@Beccatheboo

Enough of the inability of a faction of Mumsnet users to allow people to express themselves without an immediate repost. (I do understand the hypocrisy of this post.) But people are struggling and they are not allowed to say that they have simply had enough.
Which is exactly what you did when @RMRM made their comment. That’s what they’ve had enough of but as it doesn’t fit your narrative it isn’t allowed. As you say hypocrisy.
NorbertMeubles · 17/02/2021 11:21

@SummerBlondey

ENOUGH of people moaning.

ENOUGH of armchair critics saying that the Government are shit - yeah, easy to say when you're sat on your arse in your house.

ENOUGH of people thinking they know more about pandemics than Christ Whitty CB FRCP FFPH FMedSci

ENOUGH of people moaning about their Mental Health

Goodness knows how this generation would have fared during one of the World Wars, where cities were being bombed, your husbands and sons went off to war and your children were shipped off to the countryside.

GET A GRIP PEOPLE.

The Vaccine is being rolled out. For goodness sake, GET. A. GRIP.

'Poster who has it all together and is patronising as fuck' klaxon

@DameFanny -If you want to see what a Labour government does to the NHS, take a look at us in Wales. It is an absolute shambles, bed capacity down 12 %.

They have destroyed it and are now facing the consequences of their actions.

IAmJackieWeaver · 17/02/2021 11:23

Enough of self appointed 'experts' who 'do their research' pretending they know more than doctors or scientists.

Get to fuck the lot of you.

CrazyCatLazy · 17/02/2021 11:23

@RMRM in total agreeable with you. Also enough of the “only X amount of people have died” - imagine how many people would have died if we hadn’t had these measures in place.

Redsquirrel5 · 17/02/2021 11:24

Fromdownwest

It is hard telling your children they are never going to see their beloved grandad again because although he was extra careful he died from Covid. (Friends of ours).

Enough of people not keeping their distance when shopping. A woman actually leaned over me to get something.

Enough of not seeing my daughter and partner who have been stranded on the other side of the world. At least they can move about now and are allowed to work. We have been funding air bnb and food.
I miss them as it has been nearly two years. We can’t go to see them either but I wouldn’t want to get on a plane just now.

DH is getting his jab today.
