When did you last meet a new person?

In the flesh, I mean. Someone whose name you learnt and you continued to have a connection?

I have a strange feeling mine was a year ago, early Feb. I drove to Wales to meet a new client.

My Pilates studio was open in summer but I don’t think I met anyone new.

That’s a long time!

Just before lockdown. I was going to some mental health support groups and met people there. All stopped now.

Have had several new starters at work. It’s weird not seeing half their face though as we’re wearing masks all the time.
I met one out on a walk and didn’t recognise her at first!

Lol no idea. It was a pre lockdown past life. I'm not the same person after this last year. Like many of us it's changed me.

I met some new colleagues in November. I started a new job a few days a week, I'm freelance and it's in addition to some other work I do. I had to go in and see some things in the building to be able to do my job. I was so excited to be out and meet new people.

Somewhere around the penultimate Christmas for me.

DD at the beginning of her first uni semester. She is now in her third and hasn't met a real person since.

I was going to say the nurse who has just done my mammogram but I can't say I've continued to have a connection with her. Unless you count having to go back a fortnight later to have it redone, and seeing her again? Smile

My 4yo started a new nursery in August so I had a few exciting ‘hi, which kid is yours? How old are they? Are you new too?’ conversations through masks.

That’s about it. (Let’s not mention how much this is the same as my pitifully antisocial life pre-lockdown though! Grin)

I met DD’s boyfriend in October(?) Although at the moment I only see him briefly when he calls for her so they can go off walking around the local area.

Been a new colleague at work, and we were in the office for a while last year. Also my team expanded by three just before lockdown (just me and my manager before) It's been quite strange getting to know a whole team by zoom and WhatsApp.

Probably 18 months ago. New manager at work (not direct manager).

Last met a new colleague on Skype in September and don't know when I'll meet them for real. It must be so hard for them to learn it all "online".

Every day at work (patients). Had lots of new colleagues too. Other than that probably not since the summer when a friend brought their new girlfriend to stay the night with us.
