I don’t mean people ignoring lockdown rules (although they are as well) there’s enough threads about that. I mean there’s a large proportion of people that are sticking to lockdown rules but are expecting the world to be carrying on as normal.

I work in accountancy, we are massively behind this year due to all the cjrs claims, extra businesss advice we had to give, kids being off school etc etc. Some people are reasonable but there’s a large proportion kicking off and moaning about stuff with no understanding of why things are slightly different this year. My friend works for a bank call centre, she has no kids, but staff with kids have had grief from customers where kids have been heard in the background. People saying stuff like “I’ve not given you permission to work from home and deal with my bank affairs” and basically being really horrible. There has been some lovely understanding people too but I definitely think this pandemic has brought out the true colours of a lot

I agree. Not pretty is it?

I agree! Where I work there have been staff in the call centre reduced to tears by the way some callers have spoken to them, and they're doing a thankless job at the best of times.

Customer service has been unutterably shit for a year now and every time something fucks up it's 'because of covid'. Just an excuse half the time. There was thread about all the ridiculous things that were going on 'because of covid' which highlighted it perfectly: If I hear because of covid one more time
