Primary schools back sooner than expected?

It’s hard to know what to believe, but PHE now seem to be suggesting that primary schools can safely return after half term - which seems to contradict all other recent reports and government comments
focussing around Easter!

Ive not read the thread but Its baffling, I want to end this! I want to hold on now for as long as we can until nos are right down again....imagine being able to suppress them so much we can actually do track and trace!

And never have to go through this again, I am a short term pain, long term gain person...

I find it more baffling to want to keep children home when the scientific advisers have agreed with the actions tbh.

Virus’s mutate , that’s what they do . That’s why they create a new flu vaccine every year. The less hosts it has the more the it will mutate so lockdown will make that worse , plus it’s killing our immune systems and herd immunity isn’t having a chance to develop properly.

Our hospitals are overrun every year by respiratory virus’s so why didn’t our government make provision for the extra pressure that was inevitable this year instead of those shocking adverts designed to cause guilt and fear .

99.99% survive covid so why not lock up the vulnerable and let the rest of the population return to life instead of ruining our children’s childhoods and their future economy .

I assume all your family are young fit and healthy. But hey as long as you're okay...

No , my parents in their 70’s with health conditions have had covid , My partner is extremely clinically vulnerable and black so a double whammy in terms of being susceptible and I am in my 50’s , I suspect we all had it Dec 2019, and my Daughter also ended up in a and e twice at that time with what we now think was the Kawasaki response. Sadly my friend had cancer , due to lockdown it was diagnosed late , treatment was delayed ,spent months alone in hospital due to no visitors allowed and and died in the new year . She contracted covid during her treatment and survived that but not the cancer . There will be millions more in her position.

Have you any idea how many people die every year of respiratory illnesses and virus’s but you don’t normally lock yourself up do you ?

Far more damage , death rates and long term issues are being created by lockdowns . Incidentally we don’t have any less deaths than those countries that haven’t been locked down for the best part of a year .

Lonely planet.

Are you advocating that we cease all risky activities?
