WTF is going on at EON.

People cant top up their pre payment meters. The app has been down for ten days. There are ppl on their fb page who are saying their electric has gone off. Not on in usual times but in a pandemic?? This is the 2020s FFS. We top up ours with a key but it didnt work so they are sending out a new one, but after telling us to go to the corner shop and get a key after giving us a code. And to ring Eon from the shop and pass the mobile phone to the shop assistant so they can talk him/her through it. Yep Great advice in a pandemic EON. Sharing mobiles. We are okay for a little while because we have kept topping up when possible as advised to do so last March. But the time they are taking to sort their shit out is worrying. Other families and disabled ppl have lost electric. Not good enough.

This supplier is a joke topped up 15 pound on my gas taken the money out of bank both app and website are down . I have a autistic son that needs to eat a cooked meal before his meds . Been on hold for an hour an hour . How is this exceptable

He said technical problem. N asked me to ring bk in 2 hours. What a joke. Then 5mins later I av power 🤔🤔🤔 I'm sure they gt a kick out of seeing customers stressed and kicking of. It's a reaccuring thing now this

Absolutely shocking service. App has been down since before Xmas. My electric has gone off. App not working. Live chat not working and sat on the phone so far 1 hour!!! Kids home schooling on computers and working from home. Shocking terrible company I want me meters ripped out.

2 hours on hold trying to top up - finally got answered to be told can't do anything for 4 hours - I asked for any explanation of the issue to be told we don't no anything try again in 2 hours - o and the South African call centre is fielding emergency/new customer calls but can't actually do anything no top ups or info , absolutely disgusting customer service

We've had a poor two weeks financially myself and kids and as I can only top up on the app or website I was unable to until I banked some money #smartmeters
I couldn't get to the bank as we were isolating as a precaution pending negative tests. Which we have got now.
I rushed to the bank this morning. Did everything I could possibly do.
Both emergency credits were activated Saturday evening. I had contacted EoN last week as I was worried about energy and the costs. I explained this winter was a real struggle for us and was advised to contact you in an emergency. Wow!
£5 electricity and gas have both long gone, and we are totally cut off. I've wasted the last of my data trying to get a response from live chat and logging on to the website as WiFi down with no electricity.
My phone battery is running low. After being on hold for an hour.
My son can't do his school work, my freezer is defrosting. The house is getting cold. And the frustrating thing as stated above in others comments it's hardly a one off occurrence. Where is the contingency?
The phone line is not answering after an hour and the repeated automated message to use the site and app because you're busy, is just about tipping me over. I just want to cry. All morning. I have an interview via zoom at 1.45 😢
The advice to go to a neighbour or relative (during lockdown) is ridiculous. Go to them and do what? Say what? What can they do ....
I can't find any info about what to do.
I can evidence everything. Someone needs to respond to everyone on here. It's diabolical were being ignored.

Been down all yesterday as well ,2 phone calls on hold for over 2 and a half hours, no gas /electric so no hot water/heating severe asthmatic with copd and medication that needs refrigeration, absolutely disgusting, and this is nearly every week the system is down , you fat cats ,stop counting your money and sort your company out !!!!!!!

Can you please respond to my messages!!! Iv put £40 on my electric and £20 on my gas via the app, you have took the money out my account twice yet iv had no credit added onto my metre!!! Iv rang on several occasions with a huge wait on hold also messaged you via Facebook several times yet again no response!! You got £120 of my money and iv got no credit on my metres. Iv just tried to top up again now and the app won't let me top up either. HELP!! iv got 4 vulnerable young children and dont need the stress!!
