Why are you boasting? Hmm
InterfectoremVulpes · 18/01/2021 19:40

Congratulations OP

TLIMSISNW · 18/01/2021 19:40

Why are you boasting? hmm

I don’t think she’s boasting, I think she’s relieved and sharing some positivity.

I’m a key worker and would absolutely love to get the vaccine now but can’t yet. I’m still delighted for those who can.

ChasingRainbows19 · 18/01/2021 19:43

FFS it’s not boasting. It’s relief and hope that there’s some way out of this. 10 months of working a pandemic in a hospital takes its toll

Fellow NHS worker I had mine Friday. Minimal side effects. Roll on dose two!

wildthingsinthenight · 18/01/2021 19:43

Brilliant news!

keeperswif · 18/01/2021 19:46

Me too best day ever and now my mum and dad lined up for next age group can't wait till this is all over

keeperswif · 18/01/2021 19:47

I'm NHS too and it's been horrible

Bluetrews25 · 18/01/2021 20:09

I had mine 9 days ago.
Was excited going in, and a bit emotional after.
They could have saved my life, and many others.
NHS front line, regularly exposed.
Thank you, Pfizer scientists, and thank you vaccinators. Flowers

QueenOfTheDoubleWide · 18/01/2021 20:16

I had mine 3 weeks ago today so have today's date on my card for jab number 2! Obviously that won't happen for a while now but I am still extremely relieved to have had this one

SaltyTootsieToes · 18/01/2021 20:16

Good for you.

Yes, please tell people so they can see it’s very very rare for side effects. Be a positive example

Thank you for getting it and sharing. It’s important

Kaffiene · 18/01/2021 20:19

Had mine today. Feels like a wee bit of progress at long last.

cheninblanc · 18/01/2021 20:21

Me too had mine this morning x

CosmicComfort · 18/01/2021 20:28

I had mine a couple of weeks ago, such a relief. I’m frontline NHS and although I haven’t had to work directly with covid cases until recently, the stress of trying to keep it off the ward has been immense. Isolating and swabbing acutely mentally unwell people is difficult and not in the least therapeutic. All our normal ways of working have been turned on their head and it’s been horrendous. Now we’ve got covid and the stress is awful.

Covid has been a nightmare for NHS workers and it’s a huge relief to have the vaccine.

CrazyFoxLady · 18/01/2021 21:24

@Gettinggrumpier what an appropriate username Hmm

Just trying to share some positivity. I also felt quite emotional and it was quite strangely a pleasant experience. It's the happiest I've seen people for ages, had a right giggle with complete strangers while I was waiting!

Got a really sore arm, but that's normal for me - I couldn't lift it for 2 days after the flu jab.

Sending love and good vibes to you all. Let's kick this bastard'a ass! Thanks

Smile every single person who tells me they’ve been vaccinated makes me smile. I’m a long way down the queue but I just think of it as one more person helping the country get back to normal .

DeeDimer · 18/01/2021 21:27

NHS here (waves). Had mine last week. Positively skipped in to get it I was so excited. We can't keep doing this.

Gingernaut · 18/01/2021 21:28

I got mine today too. And TWO stickers!!

Aloamilk · 18/01/2021 21:30

CrazyFoxLady

Fantastic news!! So pleased for everyone who has had their vaccination. I suspect I will cry too when it's my turn!

Ignore the weird poster, there's always one Smile

Bolshybun · 18/01/2021 21:31

Lovely news. Every time I hear of someone having the vaccine it makes me smile. I was pleased to hear the vaccination centre near where I live started pulling in people when the elderly couldn’t make it through the snow on Thursday. Making sure it was used up Smile

MadameBlobby · 18/01/2021 21:32

How the hell is OP boasting? Honestly this place sometimes.

KeepWashingThoseHands · 18/01/2021 21:32

Yay!!! Glad you’re at less risk now OP and thanks for all you do. Here’s hoping for light at the end of the tunnel.

tarapinn · 18/01/2021 21:33

Me too! Feeling pretty ropey now though! But don't care! Just glad to have had it Smile
