Apologies if this has already been discussed but haven't seen anything crop up.

Back at the beginning of the Covid fiasco this sort of thing was posited and dismissed.. Now it appears to becoming a reality.

The article does bring up whether it would be enforceable according to current employment legislation.... which begs the question about whether new legislation will be brought in.

Interested to hear people's thoughts on this.

Sorry just seen he will arrange private vaccinations for his staff.

Idk, I am in the wrong business. The first round of people getting vaccinated will be on their annual vaccinations next winter before I get mine.

His comments on arranging private vaccinations for his staff is even more rubbish. There is no chance vaccines will be available to purchase in the UK for a very long time- I'd say we are at least a year away from that being possible.

People are already getting them. They are flying to places where private vaccines are available. Only matter of time before private ones are available here. Already had cases of companies offering GPs lots of money for them. Private GPs are still GPs and may have access once the priority list is done.

To work clinically in the NHS, I had to prove my vaccination status for Hepatitis B...this is similar.

@NastyBlouse

He's introducing the narrative that plumbers especially Pimlico Plumbers are to be trusted

Well, neither he (or his company, if it reflects his ethos) seem very trustworthy to me TBH

A COVID vaccine only protects yourself you can still contract and pass the virus on

Nope, wrong. Latest evidence shows it reduces transmission.

Personally I find it quite scary that we have gone from "protecting the NHS and the elderly/vunrable" to "you may need to have the vaccine just to lead a normal life in your home country, even if you are a low risk group." So quickly. The narrative has changed in the matter of a few weeks. Travel is one thing, the right to work and see friends and family is another.

I agree @millenialblush
