I'm so fuming with the way he has fucked up our children's education, ignored nurseries in any discussions about why he hasn't closed them and now withdrawing funding for children whose parents decide not to send them. And then to have the cheek to tell parents to complain to ofsted if they are not happy with their child's home learning after schools were given 12 hours notice to prepare. He's a absolute disgrace.

Schools should be able to teach online and I am tired of people excusing abominable teaching because of the pandemic. I don’t feel sorry for the schools at all, my dcs school just gave out worksheets and expected parents to do the schools job.

Gavin Williamson should absolutely not get a knighthood for his pathetic efforts as Education secretary.

Teaching is hard isn't it. I would hope that so many parents having discovered just how hard keeping dc motivated and on task is during the pandemic might have more sympathy with teachers.

Every teacher I know worked exceedingly hard during the pandemic and support, time and extra funding from the government were noticeably absent.
