I've just had a positive test. I was ill last April, and had ongoing long covid. Ironically only chatted to GP this week who said that no one has any idea re recovery.

Has anyone else had it twice? I'm hoping second time not so debilitating - I didn't have to go to hospital or anything but felt like crap for weeks.

I'm quite alarmed to learn that long covid can involve long infection with covid
I had thought it was a post viral syndrome

@Yohoheaveho it is it’s entirely separate entirely and isn’t just ME/post viral. And that isn’t in any way negating people who suffer from ME. This is a specific thing that is affecting people hearts/lungs/brains etc and meaning a lot of medical workers can no longer work

pardon me for not making myself clear...
when I said 'post viral' I meant it as in 'post' (aka 'after') the viral infection, or to put it another way, I had thought that long covid was an 'aftermath' of the infection, I didnt know it involved active ongoing infection

Yes April and October but October case was very mild just a bit of a light cold feel. Hope you have a mild case.
