Theworldisfullofgs · 01/01/2021 23:19

Stupid people

HBGKC · 01/01/2021 23:21

I do. Why?

AlexaShutUp · 01/01/2021 23:21

Mainly middle class Tories, I would think.

SwedishEdith · 01/01/2021 23:23

What are you worried about being "allowed" to post?

Bluesmartiesandpandapop · 01/01/2021 23:24

Thank you @Ellmau that made me chuckle Grin

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 01/01/2021 23:31

Yes, it'll be fine, You'll need to post what you want to talk about! That'll be ok too if you're sensible.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 01/01/2021 23:32

@Ellmau. Thank you I love the wee clips. I can't bear the entire program right now as it's too close to the bone, but wee snippets are funny!

yikesanotherbooboo · 01/01/2021 23:32

DM does. She is not a Tory and has never voted conservative and is now very old. She buys it because she always has.She knows her way around it .Other reasons are that it has some good writers, she likes the cooking, gardening, crosswords, arts reviews, TV guide, features, letters and is used to getting some of her news from it.

EdithWeston · 01/01/2021 23:35

I love Matt !

(I have him on twitter)

Cynderella · 01/01/2021 23:36

I used to (a loooong time ago) - two reasons: 1) to see what people unlike me were thinking and 2) the crossword.

The Guardian or Independent are my people, but I like to see what everyone else is reading. Now it's behind a paywall, I rarely look at the Telegraph unless I follow a link.

TuxedoPantherSheHer · 01/01/2021 23:43

Used to dip into it a bit. My mum used to say “you’ve got to know what the other side are saying”. For years there was some decent analysis and insight, just from another perspective.

Since they had an influx from one of the right- wing tabloids it’s become a cesspit so don’t really bother now.

What is this in relation to?

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 01/01/2021 23:52

MIL, FIL. They've been divorced 40 years. DH wouldn't.

Janus · 01/01/2021 23:54

If it’s the ‘only 338 people under 50 have died’, it gives me the utter rage. Especially seeing people share on Facebook etc. Yes, that number won’t include anyone with a pre existing condition like eczema, how can this be allowed??

ATieLikeRichardGere · 01/01/2021 23:54

Me. I’m a millennial and I’ve never voted Tory. It’s a welcome antidote to the perpetual declinism of the Guardian I guess. I read around.

Waspnest · 01/01/2021 23:57

Not me. I prefer the Times.

WineIsMyCarb · 01/01/2021 23:59

I do

NekoShiro · 02/01/2021 00:27

It's paywalled so i don't bother trying to

Megan2018 · 02/01/2021 00:32

DH has a subscription, so I read it occasionally.

mummabear74 · 02/01/2021 00:35

Unfortunately my father as I found out tonight placing an online shopping order for him as he is shielding. I hear this is the middle class equivalent of the Daily Mail (although I wouldn't class us as middle class, more working class).

ShrikeAttack · 02/01/2021 00:48

Me. I think the article you're probably referring to has been removed though. I had a look due to all the hoo-ha on here and the link on the homepage just took me to the Coronavirus section, no sign of the article at all.

DianaT1969 · 02/01/2021 01:00

I read certain sections for my work and it has good writers.

TheAlphaandtheOmega · 02/01/2021 04:24

Not me because it keeps asking if I want a free trial for some paywall, if I get a free paper from Waitrose I always choose the Times.
