Allison Pearson writes for them and that should tell you everything you need to know.

Tillsforthrills · 02/01/2021 09:57

Can’t believe two threads have been removed on here, we’re being censored on a subject very important to us Hmm

vera99 · 02/01/2021 10:02

shh bypass paywalls extension for chrome don't tell anyone though. Beats em all...

BlackForestCake · 02/01/2021 10:11

The Telegraph was once a serious right-wing newspaper. Now it is a rabid Tory fanzine filled with fake news. It's only one step removed from the Daily Express and Sunday Sport.

My parents.

Phlip · 02/01/2021 10:20

I've read it for 20+ years on subscription. Read the Guardian as well.
I've always found some good writing in there and enjoy it in spite of the politics / bias.
Even through Brexit I tolerated the opinions but this last few months on covid some of the writers, Alison Pearson for one, have incensed me so much that I won't be renewing my subscription.

sashh · 02/01/2021 10:43

My dad.

I believe it is why he voted for Brexit.

lots33 · 02/01/2021 10:47

My mum does. She is a leftie and likes to read boad views, so reads telegraph, times, guardian, inde, the fail, the sun etc plus Financial Times and various others.

She calls it the Torygraph.

Talking of Alison Pearson. This is the absolute best takedown. it made my day. Her question asking Why Wuhan is back to normal. Gold.

SpikySara · 02/01/2021 17:03

I don’t read it except the free articles. I did read the article last night that was swiftly removed and I found the censorship worrying.

TheMarzipanDildo · 02/01/2021 17:06

My friend tells me he reads the Telegraph. I’ve never seen him do it though and I live with him it’s probably a bit long for him. I do like this friend but sometimes he gets my goat Grin

I’m very leftyish but I read the Times (supplemented by Private Eye) purely because it’s less annoying than the Guardian.

spongedog · 02/01/2021 17:17

I do, but only on a Saturday because all the extra supplements (Personal Finance, Motoring, Gardening, Travel, Business, Culture & Arts, puzzles, etc) are exactly what I like. I ignore the obvious Tory opinions and most of the sport.

My child, get off the internet - it's bad for your mental health Wink
Tillsforthrills · 02/01/2021 20:00

I do read it and have just ended my subscription - I like to read a broad selection of news but found some of it too much. I liked the recipes and lifestyle section though.

I’d describe myself as centre left.

ATieLikeRichardGere · 02/01/2021 21:56

I’m not sure if this was to do with that alarming article yesterday but if so we have some reassurance and I can see why the Telegraph removed it
