@thekeatingfive thanks, I did need that "calm the fuck down" . I think a lot of people's nerves are just shot after the last couple of weeks (including mine). So it doesn't take a lot to push in to outright panic.

A TAAT will always get deleted. The first was scaremongering and the others were TAAT. There's no MN conspiracy ffs

They enclosed a lot of children's wards in London to create space for adult covid patients and sent them all to GOSH. Everyone knows this in paeds in London. Believe me, there is no increase theres been minimum respiratory admissions compared to other years. Things like osteomyelitis have hardly been seen this year.

The NEU are having meetings with officials and members tomorrow to address this issue.

I have been really disappointed that the Labour Party have not challenged the government on the to be honest bizarre decisions announced this week by Gavin.

Sage are acknowledged to be a voice of reason and the government are not taking their advice on the evidence that clearly implies schools are an unsafe environment.

Yes, it would be great if schools could be kept open.

I do think the mounting evidence suggests that our government are putting money and economics before the health of the nation.

If our politicians won’t challenge the government our only hope is the unions representing the workplaces. I do hope the leadership is there to mount an effective challenge to these very worrying decisions.

While the vanishing threads did add an air of mystery, the panicked 'OMG, it's going to kill our babies' did need slapping down. It was like a run on the bank. The more people talked about it, the more frenzied it got.
