Has anyone had the vaccine yet?

Can we share some positive news of people having the vaccine?

Didnt they say that around half a million people will have had it by Christmas?

No idea how many of them will be members here though.

Other than numbers there isn't much to say at the moment I suppose

My DP (NHS) had his first dose yesterday

That was the expected total at the end of Sunday. I think they are adding the number of people vaccinated on the government dashboard soon.

DH (NHS) has had first dose. The oldest of the extended family locally (in his 90s) has had his too.

Lots of our clients over 80 reporting they’ve had it.

My mum is 82 and had it last week.

She got a phone call one morning asking her to come in the next morning. It was at a small community hospital which is just a 15 minute walk from her home.

We feel very lucky and quite honestly, blessed that she got the call so soon and it was so easy for her to get to.

My grandparents have had it. They were impressed with the process and the level of care.

My MIL had it at the weekend. She’s deepest darkest Cornwall.

My father (82) had it last week

Some neighbours have had it. They were so thrilled. It really was the best Christmas present they could have hoped for.

I've had mine (NHS). Local care home staff had theirs this week, over 80's also being jabbed locally

I'm in Hampshire. I work in Primary Care and am working at a vaccination centre.

My neighbour has had it, she's NHS carer. We are in (north) Hampshire. She had to drive quite a distance to get it at one of the hospital in our trust, but not our nearest (I think they're still struggling with the number of moves it's able to make, but not sure why there & not here) it's doable for people with a car, but not otherwise, unfortunately people are car sharing to get there 😳

Relation in her 90s had it couple of weeks ago - SW London (a GPs a couple of mins from her house, but not her GPs!)

Am having it on Monday (NHS)

I know 2 people who have had the first dose. One lives in a care home and the other works in a care home (both Scotland)

Wow, that's impressive. What sort of setting did she get it done at?

NHS worker here (Midlands) and had my first does this week. However, some of my colleagues can’t get dates for their first does until March.

My friends DM in NI had her first dose last Thursday. She is in a nursing home.

My 87yo MIL has had her first dose. I am on a vaccine trial, so I may be vaccinated or I may have been given the placebo.
