What do you think will happen at the review on the 16th?

Lots of articles in the papers saying London (where I live) will go to tier 3.

I’m really hoping they are wrong.

@clareykb I hope that’s right as we are booked for Panto on the 18th. If we go into tier 3 then we should still get to go?

I'm in tier 3 and everything's shut, so can't see it happening if you do go into tier 3.
Then they say only travel out of your tier for essential reasons so if the panto is in a tier 2 area I don't think that'll class as one.

But tiers changes start on the 19th and op would go on the 18th so should be fine

Whatever the government are planning, it will be leaked to the Daily Mail a few days before to test reactions. Anything important will be released to the public at the weekend.

Notts here, I m hopeful for a move down to tier 3 but my prediction is places may be moved up but nowhere will come down due to Christmas mixing potentially driving cases up. So if we are moved down we d just be moved straight back up for January. I hope I m wrong and we get a break though!!

Coasterfan · 09/12/2020 13:00

Down to tier 2 I mean

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 09/12/2020 13:14

Tier 2 for us in Derbyshire I hope, as our cases are falling

Pretty please. I can go to a football match again Smile

Appearing before the Science and Technology Committee this morning, Sir Patrick Vallance admitted that “there is no really hard evidence on curfew times”. Under questioning from Greg Clarke, Vallance said the decision to impose the curfew had been based on the assumption “keeping people longer in an environment where there is also alcohol is likely to increase risk”.

An industry devastating restriction, all based on a hunch.

I'm in Bedfordshire close to Luton. They have pretty high numbers and ours are rising again after a fall in lockdown. I'm wondering if will be put in tier 3, definitely won't be dropping down from 2

Lots of reports tonight about London going to tier 3. Sigh.
