Waiting for test result- should I send ds to school?

Ds had a cough on Sunday, in a panic, I booked a test yesterday 9am.
He coughed about twice yesterday, there’s nothing wrong with him
Would you send him in ?

I think it’s against the law to send him in now that you’ve booked a test. I think he will have to take the test and wait for results before going into school.

No, my school is sending children home who are coughing. I think it's all very difficult. Parents don't know what to do for the best after years of 'just send them in we will give them calpol'.

Yes send him in and allow him to possibly infect all his class mates, their families and the school staff.

Once that happens you could also explain that you were awaiting test results... just to make even more friends.

I completely agree that OP can't send her child to school but this argument that he could have asymptomatic Covid makes no sense - by that logic we should all self-isolate permanently because we could always have it with no outward sign at all. The point is that he did have a symptom, he's had a test and now they have to wait for the result of that test.

That's not the point, once you've had a test you wait for the result before going back to school.
