Has anyone in the SE had a Covid test in the last few days? How long for your results?

Just wondering how long, I have a procedure on Tuesday and I am hoping they give the results back before then or I can't get it done
I had a test done yesterday I keep hearing amazing stories of it taking less then a day for results!

Test back in about 48 hours (East London)

Do they test them all over do you know? I had mine done at manston airport I don't know if they test them in one central lab or all over
Hopefully I'll get the results tomorrow then!

Southend one took three days one took 24 hours

25 hours!!! I was amazed.

Sorry I should have said yes it was recent. Tested DD at a drive through on Weds am at 10.30 and got the results Thurs am 11.30

I really really hope I get the results by Monday or I can't have the procedure done

The hospital is a Covid free one. Apparently I could only have the test done on Friday or Saturday for applicable results for the hospital on Tuesday

I had it done at 930 yesterday
Every time I hear the email noise I hope it's the answer

Still waiting for results from a Wednesday test, sorry! Given that you have a procedure riding on it, let’s hope you’re higher priority than that.

Its taken much longer than the other 3 tests in our family

We are up to 52 hours and no result yet (London).

My DS’s best friend was tested last week and had the results back in less than 24 hours. I think they used Thorpe Park testing centre.

60 hours to get results here after a drive through test.

Are you sure you will be given the results? Relative had a procedure at hospital so tested few days before . Test was arranged by the hospital and they were told they would only hear if the result was positive.
Did you arrange your own test?
I think in lots of cases if the hospital arrange your test you don’t get the result unless positive - it works differently to arranging your own test.

I arranged my own test with approval from the GP I'm having the procedure done privately in a London hospital so it was far to drive in and out for a test swab from east Kent

I didn't give the details of the hospital
I'm having it at just my own phone number and email address for the results

Hopefully I'll get them in the next day

Posted test on Tuesday 4pm, emaIl thurs 6.30pm. I have a weekly test and this is about normal time period

I had a drive through test last weekend. Results took 78 hours. Arrived by text and email at the same time.

Update to my previous post: we got our results back after 60 hours eventually. The email came through about 3 hours before the text. All negative for us.

If this is a home test kit then I’m in Greater London and someone I know got a result yesterday, 5 days after posting. I also know someone who posted theirs on Thursday who is still waiting. Probably not what you want to hear. Anecdotally the home test kits seem to be taking a lot longer than those done at walk/drive in test facilities right now. Some of those results have some back in about 24 hours this week. I work in a reasonably large secondary school, so plenty of tests each week.

Still no result for me, it's been about 50 hours

I'm so worried
I've spent £4,000 to have my back sorted 🤕 it really hurts I've been bed bound all week
