Just wondering how long, I have a procedure on Tuesday and I am hoping they give the results back before then or I can't get it done
I had a test done yesterday I keep hearing amazing stories of it taking less then a day for results!

Fingers crossed for you that they come through tomorrow.

cultkid · 11/10/2020 21:15

@MadameMinimes I literally want to pray even though I am not religious
My back is so painful I really need it sorted

Went to a drive-thru yesterday lunchtime in Sussex. Not had result yet. Need to know so I can get back to work as I don't get paid (zero hour contract) while isolating.

cultkid · 12/10/2020 03:57

@RubixCubix it's so frustrating isn't it

I still don't have my results back I'm so worried now

My husband went to one on Friday and no results yet. I'm a key worker so if he is positive there are loads of people who need to know.
We just called a government call centre to check on results and they are still awaiting them. But the call took 8 minutes of constant questions including gender and ethnicity!
It was ridiculous!

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 12/10/2020 09:28

So sorry cult 💐

Dd hasn’t got her results, she cant go back to college without them

The thing that is really pissing me off is that she didnt have Covid symptoms...her college told her there was no need for a test but her housemates (and i am using that term loosely) browbeat her into getting the test

Literallyfedup · 12/10/2020 10:22

Same here. DD got tested at Ashford drive in (south east) on Friday evening. We have not received the results as yet.
Personally not affected that much as she is not well enough to go to school and we WFH. But I do feel for others kids at school in her bubble because if she is positive then they need to isolate as soon as they can but school can't do anything until we get the results.
I do hope you get your result today cult as you really need it.

Kittybelle123 · 12/10/2020 10:36

DD still waiting from walk-in test Friday at 10am (west London). DD is currently not well enough to be at school, DH can work from home but DD2 can't go to school and I can't go to work and generally life is hold until we know one way or another. So frustrating.

OP I hope you had some good news and were able to have your procedure today Thanks

sunflowerspeoniesanddaisies · 12/10/2020 10:38

SE here, had test (well DC did) Saturday morning and no results as yet... of course she has been absolutely fine and not coughed after taking it so now I've got her home from bloody school suspecting that I've wasted everyone's time!

RubixCubix · 12/10/2020 12:26

Still no result yet here. Tbf DD's cough has got a lot worse since the test, so it was definitely worth getting done. She's well enough to still do her lessons though which are luckily mostly online.

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 12/10/2020 12:29

She got the results 20 minutes ago

Negative...obviously

Fingers crossed cult

lurker101 · 12/10/2020 12:53

I tested last Monday (1.30pm) at a London walk in centre - negative result returned 50 hours later. My sister tested at stansted airport last Wednesday results back Thursday night

cultkid · 12/10/2020 13:37

Still no results

I think I'm going to have to have one done privately at the hospital entrance and wait for the lab which will mean spending a whole day hanging around before my procedure

DS took the test on a Friday at lunchtime (Greater London). Still no test results. It's frustrating because we are now all self-isolating due to a cough that only seems to be coming on in the evening and a bit in the morning. Am worried that his results may be inconclusive because he didn't want his throat swabbed so we only did a nostril. I am already fed up after only one day of home schooling!
Sounds like we are not the only ones waiting, the labs must be overwhelmed!

RubixCubix · 12/10/2020 19:07

Still waiting here but have just rung 119 who told me they couldn't give a timescale, but we would have the result very soon!

pilates · 12/10/2020 19:30

Drive in at Sussex early Saturday morning still waiting for results

They said most get results within 48 hours but can take 5 days

cultkid · 12/10/2020 19:46

I still don't have mine

I'm hysterical

OP posts:
iwantavuvezela · 12/10/2020 19:47

SE London here - results back in 22 hours.

PleasantVille · 12/10/2020 19:49

@cultkid

Still no results

I was going to ask if hav in it done at the hospital was an option , good to hear that it is, frustrating but at least you won't miss your op.

Good luck

cultkid · 12/10/2020 19:51

It's a private hospital idk if I can have a rapid turnaround test and one done tomorrow

A whole day in hospital whilst fasting
I hate myself

vintagenurse · 12/10/2020 21:23

Bailey0703 · 12/10/2020 21:31
