For iPhones at least, not sure about Android yet.

My postcode is ‘medium risk’ apparently...

I’m in a high risk area - quite scary seeing it in black and white

WhoWants2Know · 23/09/2020 22:13

My iPhone is too old for it ☹️.

MissClarke86 · 23/09/2020 22:17

Just downloaded it.

Do you have to have the app “open” for it to be working?

Feellikedancingyeah · 23/09/2020 22:17

I just downlao it from Google Play store and it says for Isle of Wight only?

Elpheba · 23/09/2020 22:20

Just downloaded it to have a look. Says my area is medium risk too but there was just one case in our entire county last week.

Oddbutnotodd · 23/09/2020 22:22

Live 24th September.

lostinthoughts · 23/09/2020 22:22

I'm medium risk. Annoyingly it won't let try neighbouring postcodes that I work within/kids go to school within etc

Gigglr · 23/09/2020 22:22

Thank you

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 23/09/2020 22:25

Can someone explain what it does?

loutypips · 23/09/2020 22:25

Mine still says for NHS workers and residents of Newham.

itsgettingweird · 23/09/2020 22:26

How do you download the app?

dappledsunshine · 23/09/2020 22:30

It's not officially live until tomorrow.

Dadnotamum72 · 23/09/2020 22:32

How are some using it and others saying nhs/ isle of white only?

LaBelleSauvage123 · 23/09/2020 22:32

Mine says medium risk but we’ve had either 0 or 1 case a day for the last week

ReeseWitherfork · 23/09/2020 22:38

Mine says medium risk but we’ve had no cases for weeks according to the Public health England map. Only 3 cases in about a 50 mile radius on there apparently!!

Augustbreeze · 23/09/2020 22:40

My phone iPhone 6S is too old as well apparently.

I am quite unimpressed by this.

Could they not manage an app which didn't exclude half the population???

ArthurMorgan · 23/09/2020 22:43

I'm in a high risk area. I already knew this I guess but like pp said, it's weird seeing it in black and white

marmitelover13 · 23/09/2020 22:45

Do you have to have bluetooth on continuously for it to work?

ArthurMorgan · 23/09/2020 22:48

@marmitelover13 yes it seems so. I actually have no plans to do this however Confused

R1R2 · 23/09/2020 22:49

Its not due to go live in England and Wales until some time tomorrow

FatGirlShrinking · 23/09/2020 22:50

I'm in a high risk area.

App is crazy battery drain, was just watching it tick down 1% every 15 or so seconds while the app was open. Will see how it does overnight with the app closed but may need to delete it.

Howslifenow · 23/09/2020 22:56

App does not do contact tracing which it was supposed to be built for.

ceeveebee · 23/09/2020 23:00

I think this is the link to the new app

I've got a 6s and I've got it. Have you done all software updates?
ceeveebee · 23/09/2020 23:03

There appears to be a contact tracing toggle?
